I am testing the capabilities of Slots in the design system I am working on. I noticed a strange phenomenon and wanted to find out if anyone else has experienced it and if it is just a bug or a change in the behaviour of Slots after the first release. I have a component with slots ready, dated 6 March, and drag & drop works fine when placing content in the slot (as was shown in the Figma tutorial video). On Monday, 9 March, I recreated an identical component, but drag & drop no longer works in it. I can only copy the content and paste it into the slot, and after pasting the content, the drag & drop option suddenly ‘unlocks’. When the component has nothing in the slot, drag & drop does not work. However, it works perfectly in components created a few days earlier.

In many icon systems (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music), play icons are not mathematically centered inside circles. They are optically centered. Today most designers fix this manually by nudging shapes until they “look centered”. I'm collecting perceptual data to better understand how people visually perceive centering. We're currently experiencing an issue with Google authentication in our Figma Make + Supabase setup. When a user attempts to sign up using their Google account, the user is successfully created in Supabase, but the OAuth callback URL doesn't work as expected. As a result, the user isn't redirected to the authenticated part of the application. This breaks the login flow, effectively preventing access to the app despite the user being created in the Supabase auth table.

I’m the admin of the desing project account and while I was changing a dev seat to a full seat I added by mistake an unneeded seat. I only need 3 full seats and now i have 3 full seats and 1 dev seat. I’m trying to remove the extra dev seat from the account but i can’t find the option to do so. I can only change the seat of the current users or give the unwanted seat to someone else. It happened a few hours ago and I really don’t need an extra dev seat. Thanks. 

Hey. When I open my project it is not loading. The app details in terms of the prompts I put in are available and I can see them on the left side but the app itself and everything I have created so far seems to be gone. There is a notification on the screen that says ‘I couldn’t solve this one. Ask Figma to fix it.’ Even the preview panel in the drafts no longer shows anything. It looks blank. Here is the link:  

We had a disgruntled employee permanently delete the majority of our files. I was working with a customer support person on Friday but they logged off for the day before it was resolved. He restored some files that were deleted but none of our primary ones were restored. This is urgent for my organization and represents years of work. Can someone jump on this issue ASAP to help me finish the process? The ticket number is: 1781840

My client has sent me an invitation several times to view and edit a file. I keep getting a notification that ‘I’m outside their organization and need to request access’. When I click on the ‘Request Access’ button it says my request is still pending. However they don’t see any request in Figma on their end. 

Hi, I’m having trouble prototyping something and can’t seem to find a clear answer online. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be great. I’m creating a component with text and a photo that has two variants, and I’m using a toggle to switch between them. What I want to happen is:the photo smart animates (rotates between the two variants) the text changes instantly (no smart animate) At the moment, smart animate is affecting both the photo and the text, but I don’t like how the text animates. I’m fairly new to Figma and struggling to figure out the best way to do this, especially since I know I can’t assign two different click interactions to the same toggle. Thanks in advance!

I recently bought the Figma Collab plan, not realizing that it wouldn’t let me edit my own projects unless I also purchased a Full Seat. When I tried to modify my file, I was prompted to upgrade to a Full Seat. At first, I thought it might be due to admin permissions, since I own the file. However, after clicking “Get a Full Seat,” an invoice for $156.00 was generated, and it’s scheduled to be charged on April 10.I need help canceling the Full Seat and the $156 charge.

Just a quick tip for everyone, since components have a crazy way of disappearing at some point, and brining them back is impossible, even if trying to access version history, my advice is create a broken down version of each component just to replace it easier and not having to recreate it again when it happens. Basically duplicate every component, break them apart, and just keep them just in case.

This seems like a silly question. I’ve been using Figma for many years and I still don’t know how to do this:How you normally create an image fill is to drag or upload an image into the fill panel. BUT, HOW THE HECK DO YOU USE AN IMAGE THAT EXISTS ON THE CANVAS? Do you literally have to export it and then bring it back in? 

During student authentication, it has not been in progress for 5 days due to exceeding the verification limit. Please solve it

I need to add a new user to our figma account. We have open seats, I am an admin and I don’t have the ability to do this (see screenshot).  This is critical for a new designer who needs access by 3/13.

I created a component library that has been used for some people. But when i make a little change in the main component respecting then layers names, or just change de auto-layout typograph people say that when they update the document the instance override to the content in the main component. I already tested in my own file and it doesn't happened anything. I don't know what to do anymore.

Hi Figma team, I have been having problems with the education plan, i applied in February for the plan and ran into some problems so I contacted the SheerID support team. They were able to verify that I am indeed eligible for the plan. My problem now is that my account still shows that I’m still on the free plan.I have already submitted a support ticket and sent an email to the email provided by SheerID for the support team, I have yet to recieve an answer on either of these.I was wondering if someone could help me here, i have verification info for SheerID if this would be needed.Thank you so much in advance

Hi everyone,I am experiencing an issue with the Figma Sites CMS that started today, despite everything working perfectly yesterday. I have a CMS list where the first item I click directs me to the correct page, but when I try to access a second (different) item from the list, the page continues to display the content of the first item.Even though the URL in the browser address bar is correct and reflects the slug of the second item, the page itself fails to render the new data and remains stuck on the previous content. This seems to be a significant rendering glitch as no changes were made to the setup between it working yesterday and failing today.I would like to request urgent assistance from the Figma Support team to look into this behavior, as it is currently breaking the navigation and functionality of my CMS collections.Thank you for your help. 

There is no visual indication on a frame that has been inverted and rotated that the inner positioning is then inverted even if all other settings are normal. This requires a rebuild of the entire frame and reinsertion of all its components, which is terrible if it is already a component

As mention, I had a component set with some variants. I deleted some, kept 3 and made some changes in file i’m using as a library.  When I’m on another file where i’m using the library I still see the old component. With the variants that I deleted and only some of the changes I made. If I import an instance and click to open the main components it either tells me the isntance i’m looking for has been deleted (so why is it showing it to me?) or if I’m using one that I changed but I still see the old one, if click to open the main component it goes to the right file and show me the right component updated as it should be. So the link between the file works. Is just refusing to update the component. I close figma multiple times. I tried desktop app on Mac and tried the browser. I deleted the cache. I use the trouble shooting  > reset and restart figma and nothing. it’s just not working. You guys really need to focus to not make this things happens rather than coming up with new featur
