Why did you mess up the cursor work so badly?So inconvenient and not accurate.Now it's simply impossible to move small objects without zooming to them a hundred times.The zoom cursor used to be conveniently located on the outside of the corner, now it's always on the top left for all corbers.Working with the gradient cursor is just torture. Hit the gradient point handle is a quest.But the ugliest part is that the object creation cursor is now completely faux.It doesn't draw the shape where it is expected, but draws it offset from the cursorhttps://0x0.st/8VgY.024.mp4

Glass Style Creation Resets Frost ValueI’m trying to apply a frost value of 4 to a frame and then creating Effect Style for use in other places. Once I’m done configuring the glass style settings on a dummy frame, I click the “Create Style” plus icon and instantly the “Frost” value inside the glass style configuration gets reset to 24. The value can be changed back to 4 or any other but this change is not reflected in the actual style and glass stays blurry as it would be for a Frost of 24. Looks like a simple background blur and does not get cleared as the Frost value is lowered.

I’m currently working on a dashboard using the new grid system of AutoLayout but I can’t find a way to add new rows to a frame without distorting the elements I’ve already placed on the grid. I started with a 10x8 square grid an then decided to add more rows to fit other components; if I add them from the grid options it will keep the frame size and fit the new rows within the height it has, changing the row height. From there I’d have to adjust the height of the frame manually so I could keep the same row height I had before.Is there a way to define the width and height of the columns and rows? wouldn’t it be easier if I could add rows  with the same row-height that would adjust automatically the height of the frame if there’s enough space on the parent frame?Example before adding the rows

For a long time, the figma pen has been lagging, but that’s fine because we’ve been patiently waiting for them to fix it and could still make do. But recently, I don’t know if it’s because of the updates, but the pen function has been horrible when I use my graphics tablet. Not only does it lag (as it has always done), but it is faint and you have to press down real hard for it to work. I can’t write using my laptop touch pad but it works better with the touch pad. Please Figma team, help me out because using Figma is now becoming next to impossible for a classroom setting.

So I have a problem with viewing my design in Figma.I am designing a desktop app interface on a 1440px frame, which suppose to be some kind of standard for desktop apps, and I am using component libraries such as shadcn.The problem is that library components use font size 14px, which is same as the size that is used on Shadcn website.BUT when I use those components in my design, they are just too small for the window and 14px text is barely readable.I tried to understand what is wwrong so I took a screenshot of the Shadcn dashboard example in the browser, pasted it into Figma and tried to match font sizes. And I needed to use font size 18px to visually match the text on the screenshot.I also looked at Notion desktop app, as I personally consider this app to be some golden standard - good layout

Hi mates,I was using Figma Sites from a first date was release at Figma Beta. But I really don’t known how to prototype “Open Overlay” just like Figma Design was like. Any one known how to work-around with that.I was copy my design with prototype work-fine from Figma Design, but still can't running with Figma Sites.And when I publish, I receive this message “Interactions · Unsupported action" Really annoying that they bring many new interactions, but somehow forget little trigger but useful like “Open Overlay" 

Hi everyone,I'm having an issue with my Figma prototype. One of the white rectangles in my design — which has a plain white "glacé" effect but no opacity or gradient — suddenly appears with a gradient when I run the prototype.I've double-checked the fill settings, and it's set to solid white (#FFFFFF), with 100% opacity and no effects applied.Has anyone experienced this before? Could it be a rendering bug in prototype mode, or am I missing something?Thanks in advance!    

Why  can't buy figma pro?

I recently lost access to my Google account, and unfortunately, this account was linked to my Figma profile, which contains several important projects that I desperately need to recover.Since I can no longer log in to Figma using that account, I’m hoping there’s a way to regain access to my projects. Has anyone experienced something similar or know if Figma support can help transfer projects to a new account?

I’ve been using figma.fileKey in an internal Figma plugin to get the file’s latest contributor, and it had been working fine until today.Now I’m getting the following error:Unhandled promise rejection: Error: figma.fileKey is undefined. Ensure you’re in the plugin main thread on API v1.0.0+Just wanted to check—was there a recent update to the Figma APIs that may have affected this behavior? I’m running this from the main thread, so this change seems unexpected.Appreciate any insight you can provide!Thank you for the help

Whats going on!!!!

 Figma loads but shows a broken or pixelated canvas. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, tried webgl and every other thing possible. It’s does this on both desktop and website for chrome but on Mozilla website it working well. What can I do please? 

I have a Design system file with a component Accordion. As you can see in the video linked below, it has 2 states: open and closed, and inside it has a placeholder component for content. The idea is to replace placeholder with real content when needed.Now I want to use this component in another file, so I replace placeholder with “real content”. When I play it tho, my real content is replaced with original placeholder - and that’s not what I want. BUT, when I start with its state OPEN, then it works as expected. Recently, I started using AI to generate images in Figma, and overall it’s been working well for me. However, I’ve encountered an issue with the new image editing feature:When I place the cursor within a word to edit, as soon as I start typing, the cursor jumps to the end of the prompt paragraph instead of staying where I placed it. I’ve tried multiple times, but I’m not sure what’s causing this issue.

Hello, after the latest Figma update, I can no longer see the icons in the Layer panel that indicate whether a layer is a master component or an instance, or whether a frame has auto-layout. Is there a setting to display these icons in the Layer panel?  

help! :(i’ve been rebuilding the entire design system with design tokens as variables and styles and then made detailed documentations of it all, entering Figma this morning and ALL variables and styles are gone, components and text looks correct and seems to understand that it should reference the variables or styles, but it is all broken trying to view the variable or style, ex for colors it shows a box with the color but no name.i have tried updating figma, open in browser, regenerating all instances, revert to an earlier version nothing helped.note, that my Figma project started as an sketch import that i have continued building on top of, i don’t know if this could be the reason that Figma suddenly decided to delete ALL variables and styles in my document :(even more strange, if i create a new project and copy/past my content over, i now see the design tokens original variable names and typography and color style names, but they don’t exist in the do

Recently Figma added a long-awaited feature (for me at least) to Slides—the ability to create and use components within a presentation or template. However the implementation of this was not quite what I expected and doesn’t line up with how I use components in design files.My issue is that I don’t really know where to keep the main components. Slides seems to be encouraging me to have them live on the slides themselves, but I that approach as always felt weird to me because I want components to be separated from content. In the template I created for my company, I also experimented with storing components on hidden appendix slides, but that felt off too. I  am currently keeping the main components off to the side somewhere, but they feel like they’re floating in space and lack organization. Plus, I can only really see them in the “all slides” view.I think what I expected was something more like the ability to keep Slides components on a separate page altogether. Not s

My company is currently on Professional Plan. As more people (e.g. marketing, sales, customer service) are joining Figma, we are thinking of creating another team to manage this more effectively.I see that Professional comes with 1 team.What is the cost of adding an additional team? Can you transfer existing seats to the new team? If I am part of both teams, do I pay for two seats?Thanks

Hey all, I have a question regarding something i am trying to achieve in prototyping. I got a main CTA button and next to that CTA button i have a dropdown select, i have several variants made containing both the CTA and dropdown select, lets call these 2 combined the CTA button from here. From variant A, i click the dropdown and show a dropdown menu with options as an overlay. Now when i click an option from the overlay, i want too change the CTA variant and close the overlay. I can link from the dropdown select from the variant component to the overlay frame to show the overlay, but I cannot link from the overlay back too the variants component and choose too change the variant (point 2 from above).
