For years, my personal Figma account was billed at $15/month for a single design seat. I just discovered that, over the past 3 months, Figma has been charging me for 9 additional design seats tied to ex-coworkers from a company I left nearly a year ago. My bill jumped from $15 to $200/month—without my authorization or approval. I have no idea how these ex-coworkers were added to my personal account; I never invited them, and we only collaborated through the company’s Figma account, which I lost access to immediately after leaving.

Now I’m seriously concerned they may have had access to all my client files, raising major privacy and security issues. This feels incredibly shady and unprofessional, especially since I received no notice of such a major change to my subscription. I’ve contacted Figma support to request a refund and billing correction, as they’ve now locked me out of my own design files for not paying this month’s $200 charge—which I’m refusing to pay. The situation is completely unacceptable.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, I’d love to hear if you were able to get in touch with support and what the outcome was.
