Hello! I have a design library in which I created multiple local variable collections. However, when I try to use them in a design file (where the design library is enabled), I can only select modes from the first collection I’ve added (the rest don’t appear in the list). Do you know why the other collections do not appear in the “Layer/Change variable mode” list? NB I’ve published the changes made in the library and accepted all the changes in the design file. I have a Professional plan.

Hello, I’m new to Figma and currently exploring the app. While watching some tutorials, I came across the options for alignment and padding (Packed/space between) to use them for nav design. However, I’m unable to locate these options in the updated version of Figma. Are there alternative ways to achieve this in the current version? Hi, I’m trying to create a text button that is styled in a way where there’s text at the top and underneath the text there’s a dash underline. So similar to a link, but slightly different because it uses a dashed underline instead of a solid underline. The problem is, if I have text that spans across multiple lines, the dashed line doesn’t go underneath the two lines, it only goes underneath the bottom of the frame. I can’t seem to figure out a way in Figma to make it span across two lines. I used a dashed bottom border in Figma. See example below: Is there a way to get the dashed underline to appear in both lines in Figma? Like in the example above I want the dashed underline to appear under both the “Button” text.

Hi! Has anybody encountered this behaviour? The bug occurs when i work on my external 27 inch 2k monitor. If i hide Figma UI using “cmd + /” shortcut my artwork looks crispy as it should. But when i hide Figma UI it looks like the content inside the work area gets a little shift for a half of a pixel and becomes blurry. Completely impossible to work and hurts my eyes. At the same time the UI panel contents (layers, pages, properties etc) are not affected by this bug. P.S. – I am using official Figma app for Mac os – The bug is reproducible on either fullscreen or windowed mode – I am completely sure the Pixel Preview feature is off 😃 – The resolution off external display is native (2560x1440)

Sooo idk if I’m missing something really basic here or if it’s maybe a bug? I’m trying to just change some text of a component via variable from Regular to Bold: Main component, variable is linked to style; variable setup is on the bottom of the image Instance, set to “view” - this should now be bold, right?! (And yes, the text styles are called “Regular” and “Bold” in the dropdown too:) Am I missing something or is this a bug? EDIT (before posting lol): Ok, I’ve just tried it in a new file with all new set up variables and all - it worked there. Thought it was an issue with my initial file but NOPE! It seems to be an issue with the font: Used the original file and just changed the font to Inter - now it’s working! One difference I found was that Inter supports variable font axes - Poppins (font I’m having the original issue with) doesn’t - could that be it? So variables for styles only work if the font supports variable font axes? Let me know y’all thoughts please 🙏

Has anyone experienced a weird bug where the autolayout align commands appear backwards to the expected result? I.e when I try to left align an autolayout it right aligns it instead. Also having issues with prototype previews within the same file. Wondering if it is a corrupt file or if others are having similar issues.

I logged in into Figma with an old account and tried to switch the UI to the new update. It seems the only changes that happened was the toolbar. Property panels and Layers panel seem unchanged, does anyone know if it could be a bug?

We have two themes dark and light. However, for me I am getting the dark theme as light theme and the light theme is missing just for me. My colleague is not facing this issue, his file is working fine. I have the latest version of Figma, I updated after the issue. I restarted my system as well.

After the updates, switching colors for me is a pain, as now it does not keep “All Libraries” as a default view anymore, every time I switch a color I have to select → choose a library or local or All libraries… It is such a pain. What is going on? Is there a way to keep All libraries open at all times? I would assume it should remember the last selection, but no, it’s based on the color that was on it in the first place. Tbh, such a change in UX should really be considered better, I wonder which genius thought it was a better idea to limit user’s view to only 1 library by default… 🫠

I have a Design file that uses Slices to export component variants in different states (like on/off, light mode/dark mode). Previously, leaving the export option “Ignore overlapping layers” in the default “on” state resulted in exports that look like the Export Preview—in this case, an orange icon on a transparent field. However after a recent change, my exports now show the background fill of the component in which the slice and variant are located, contrary to the Export Preview and experience with previous versions of Figma. This behavior is consistent with the Export Preview I see when I turn “Ignore overlapping layers” off. At minimum, it seems like a bug that the Export Preview does not match the Export.

Hey everyone, pretty new to Figma and I can’t seem to figure this out. I’m trying to create a menu sidebar that slides over when I press my menu button. I have my button and sidebar in a component and I can get the sidebar to appear when I press the menu button using changeTo. The problem I’m having is that no matter how I arrange the sidebar in the component box, when I run my prototype, the sidebar appears right where the button is in my frame. Is there a way to set where the sidebar will appear using changeTo? Thanks!

I’m trying to select multiple difference objects within a frame. Previously I could hold shift and click on the different elements I wanted to select. Ever since this multi-edit feature came out, I’m no longer able to do that. Does anyone know how I can get my “multi-select” back?

I lost my research file from my Figma account. I also looked at the deleted tab, but it was not there. I still have the prototype link, but every time I click, it will show, ‘Either this file doesn’t exist, or you don’t have permission to view it. Ask the file owner to verify the link and update permissions.’ The file was lost during my computer’s internet connection. Do you think that will be a cause? But that file was really important to me as it related to my final project in my academic class. Does anyone have any rationale on how to fix or restore it? Please advice.

I’ve been trying to see how it would look like to see the prototype of these frames that I exported as png’s aiming to solve the issue of not being able to prototype my designs. I don’t understand what am I doing wrong or if it’s just a Figma error.

If there is already a way to either turn off spellcheck, or to tell a FigJam file that I am working in a different language, or if that could be introduced, that would be great. I’m a new user and a Spanish teacher, and I am loving starting to use FigJam in my classroom, but it’s a bummer that most words are underlined in red!

Dear Figma Support Team, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to inquire about a billing discrepancy I have noticed regarding my Figma Professional Team Plan subscription. I initially subscribed to the plan with monthly payments starting on July 22, 2024. In July, I was charged KRW 23,404 (FIGMA MONTHLY); however, in August, I was charged KRW 45,266 (FIGMA MONTHLY), and in September, I was charged KRW 45,032 (FIGMA MONTHLY). I have not invited any additional team members, and I am the only person using the plan. I would like to understand why there is a significant difference in the amounts charged between July and the subsequent months, as the charges for August and September are nearly double. Could you kindly provide clarification on the reason for this price increase? I appreciate your assistance and look forward to your prompt response.

Hello, I’ve been using Figma for about two months, I payed 15$ for one seat in August - I specifically checked to pay only for myself and not for other 3 people in my team, but today i was charged 60$ for everyone, I wasn’t notified when I made my previous payment or asked if I want to pay for other people. 60$ is a lot of money and I would like to request a refund, can someone from Support Team help me please?

Hey there, I’m working on drag-and-drop functionality for my icon library plugin Phosphor Icons, and thanks to an excellent demo from jackiecorn on GitHub, it’s working beautifully. But there are a few pain points I was hoping the Figma developers could address: In order to compute the canvas position of a dropped element, you have to do some hand-wavy math to figure out if the UI (sidebars and toolbars) are visible, and factor that in to your insertion coordinates. It would be super helpful if the API exposed a way to determine whether the UI was visible, and if so, what size they are. Or even better, a translation of plugin coordinate-space to canvas coordinate-space. The canvas does not appear to accept drop events from drag initiated in a plugin window (drop is handled through the Figma API, but the cursor always appears as not-allowed). It would improve the discoverability for plugin users if it could appear as a copy or move cursor: Thanks for all the work you all put

Hi, I’ve seen that this has happened to a couple of people, and I was shocked to see that instead of being charged $15 for my monthly seat, I was charged for 7 seats (that’s $120+ USD). I really need a refund since I did not authorize these extra charges, and right now I can’t afford this. I need help from support. I have already requested a refund, and my ticket is currently pending. Has anyone with this issue been able to successfully file for a refund? Any advice or assistance from the community would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

At work, I often share Figma links to communicate with clients or partner companies. However, even after we’ve ended the collaboration, they can still access our designs through the link, which is really annoying. Another issue is that although the link can be set to read-only mode, this only applies to the web. If the person has a Figma account, they can still copy the content from the link and paste it into their own project！！ This means our designs could potentially be stolen

Hi, I just started Figma today and I need a help so I appreciate if someone help me. I got a problem about ellipse function, even I want to make just a circle, somehow it doesn’t work and there is another some weird shape instead.

Lost file control in Figma- No Sidebar, Toolbar is visible. When i was working on that file suddenly the file loaded automatically i lost control of the file. There is no comment, no click option is visible. From the dashboard I again draft/copied the file but still no sidebar, toolbar, or click option was visible. Then I checked my other Figma project, and all those are ok. Please help me to solve this.

Does the starter plan delete your projects after 30 days? I’m a bit confused about the limitations TIA
