BUG (Fix Launched): Unable to add a video on community plugin page

I have a 2Mb, 27sec mp4 video which I’d like to display in the ad reel at the top of a plugin page. I can upload the video, I can play the video in the preview, I can choose what order the video comes in the carousel but when I hit save, the video is not presented in the carousel. I have tried different formats (mov, different encoders) to no luck.

Please can someone suggest a fix?

You’re welcome, @Kevin_McDonagh

Glad to hear it’s working for you now. Usually there’s only a waiting period when you first submit your community resource to be published. Upon approval, any additional updates made should be automatic, so there’s usually no need to inform users that the update is pending/in review.

Our team already pushed out the fix for this bug yesterday, so please let us know if you run into any further issues.

I don’t know why, but returning to the page the next day, one of the videos were now available. I’m unclear which attempt or why but happy that there is a video on the page. This uncertainty will make it difficult to update the videos but at least it’s there!

Actually trying to edit those videos is now still giving me an ‘unknown error’ which is difficult to fix without more information about the unknown!

I am no longer receiving errors, I upload and there are no warnings but when the page refreshes there is no video in the carousel. I can’t re-add the video which just appeared I tried adding a gif, that also didn’t work. Perhaps there is a delay because there is some sort of review?

I suspect that there is some sort of delay while it is being reviewed. But I can’t be certain of that, if the gif and video just pop up tomorrow then I’ll know. But it would be ideal for this to be signposted somewhere on the interface if true...

Thanks for the investigation, what is very strange is that I checked today and one of the videos I added is on the page! The delay without any messaging that it’s actually in review or pending makes it difficult to manage a pages assets.
