Hi! I used a professional plan with monthly payments, but now I have decided to pay for a year in advance. In the settings I wanted to choose "add an annual plan", but suddenly I couldn't find it. Please help! What could the problem be?
Hi, I am a beginner in figma. My text looks very transparent although I have Fill and Stroke on 100 %. How can I change it, that my text “Über mich” is less transparent?I have tried and searched but I cannot figure it out. Can anyone help me please, what do I have to change? Best regards, Oli
I have just upgraded to Professional because I want to enter dev mode to edit someone else’s files. When I try to do that, I get a message saying, “Upgrade to work in dev mode”. I have upgraded. This works on my own files, so why not on this? If the response is that the owner of the file also needs a Professional plan(I don’t really know how the ownership thing works in Figma), then I am going to be quite upset, since that is clearly a scam. There is no reason other than to take more money from people for organising the system in that way. So hopefully that is not the reason – what am I missing? I have Professional plan, I should be able to open any file I like in dev mode?
When flattening a shape and a stroke - for instance a circle outline and 4 rectangles creating a target. pressing flatten should fist turn the stroke to an outline then attempt to flatten. current behavior is unpredictable. my suggestion will create something that looks like merging shapes
A big set of Unicode characters can be represented in both text (e.g. ↗︎) and emoji variants (e.g. ↗️). For example, the base character, Up-right arrow is \u2197 . To know which variant is supposed to be rendered, variation selectors are defined in the Unicode standard: ↗️ = \u2197\ufe0f ↗︎ = \u2197\ufe0e Figma (and Figjam) however, do not respect this, instead the used variant is dependent on the used font, which isn't the expected behavior. This behavior of Figma is consistent in Chrome and Firefox on at least Linux and Android. This also is not a problem with the fonts itself.
Hi everyone, I recently opened my project and noticed that some fonts have been replaced with default system fonts. I checked my installed fonts, and they seem to be there, but Figma still shows a missing font warning. Could this be an issue with Figma’s font service, or do I need to manually re-install the fonts? Thanks!
This is just a bug report (if this belongs somewhere else happy to submit this there) The Mobile Product Review Slides template uses Whyte as the title font but that’s unavailable for most users. I’ve been using IBM Plex Serif as a replacement, but anyway, worth changing so users don’t run into this bug in the future.
Hello! I am evaluating the use of Figma or other design tools for our startup, I cannot access AI Tools in Figma, how do I get access to them for the purpose of evaluation? I have seen the responses that you are rolling out the features & just wait, but We need to choose a design tool rather soon & many are asking for AI Features, Should we just choose another alternative to Figma which has AI for now?
It would be amazing to be able to have more control over what each seat has access to do (and edit) within Figma, rather just carte blanche to view and edit everything on Figma or FigJam and nothing in between. This is mainly because me and my team are loving a lot of the Dev Mode features, but I’ve learned that it is being removed from free accounts from 2024: Dev Mode is currently in open beta and is free for everyone to use through the end of 2023. Starting in 2024, access to Dev Mode will require a paid seat. Our development team are on free view only accounts at the moment, mainly because we do not want them to be able to edit and accidentally make changes to the design file which we also use as a live prototype/document which is shared with the client. I want to set up a background for a component so that I can toggle different background fills and borders. This would let me set up different states like “enabled”, “disabled”, “selected”, etc. For a rectangle to be in the background I have to set it to ignore auto layout. But as soon as I do that I can’t have it resize to fill its container. I want to set absolute position to 0,0, but “fill” width and height so it covers the entire background and the border matches. Another way to do this would be to show/hide fills and borders based on a property, but having a background would let me create a nested component so I can define all my states in one component, then use it as a background across my library.
I've been learning Figma for the past six months. I came across this website (https://organimo.com/) and really liked the scrolling effect. I’d love to recreate something similar as a prototype in Figma. Could anyone guide me on how to achieve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The recent Aspect Ratio update has brought with it a frustrating change to the way objects snap to the pixel grid. Previously, when changing the size/position of an object by dragging, it would snap to the nearest pixel. If you needed to get more specific - and have an object at 1.5px width for example - you could change this via the properties panel without having that object snap to the nearest pixel in terms of positioning/size. This felt like a really nice balance between snapping to the nearest pixel with the cursor, whilst retaining control over incremental choices via the properties panel. Now, after the most recent update, we no longer have this control - when you change the size of an object in the properties panel it snaps to the nearest pixel. For example, if I have a rectangle which is 6.5px wide and 1.5px tall, and I use the properties panel to change it's height to 2.5px, it'll automatically change the width to 6px. Hello, I’m experiencing as issue while trying to update a library in Figma. The publishing process almost completes but then gets stuck on the last 32 changes. I receive the following error: “Unable to publish 32 changes to the team library”.Could you please help me resolve this? Thank you!
I’ve noticed that SVG export sizes have gone from around 20KB up to 800KB. Whatever changes have been put through in the last month is effecting it’s usability for the web exports. Our site has a banner limit of 100KB and SVG has been an invaluable resource in meeting these restrictions. However, within the last month when I exported suddenly I am seeing consistently large file sizes of close to 1MB (800KB) for an image comprised of a single background colour and text. This needs urgent attention as it basically makes Figma useless for any vector artwork.
I would like to request a refund because figma automatically deducted money from my debit card. I don't want to use the figma add-on service that was automatically deducted this month. When I write create long paragraphs with text tool on the Figma I get the unnecessary spaces on edges of the paragraph like below. But I think if there a hyphenation feature (like Adobe Photoshop) it could add dashes automatically on the texts and fix this issue. So, what do you think about this feature feedback?
I searched the community and didn’t find this listed… I cannot seem to add a library that is styles / color only? to Figma Slides which is how we separate some of our libraries. Leveraging how existing users would expect to accomplish this task … a manage libraries feature… wouldn’t confuse new users as they could still use the new way but help your existing millions of pro Figma designers find their way here. The Slides file is in the same space with my design system files but I cannot see my published colours and text styles within Slides. Is this a known issue or am I missing something?
This is my parent component, and I need to reuse specific content in certain frames. I created two variants and renamed the text for each frame, but when previewing, the frame component reverts to its parent content. This is the outcome I want to achieve, but in preview, it doesn't reflect the renamed text. Below, I've attached an image of the prototype. Frame Link - Component Link -
I can’t seem to get access to UI3. I tried quitting and restarting. Checked for updates (it was updated). Yet, when I go to the helper, it says I’m on the latest version, with no option to update. Please help. Thank you!
I like creating custom components in Figma to use in FigJam. In one of my projects I’m using FigJam to keep track of characters, locations, etc. for a novel I’m writing. I connect these components together in FigJam to create story arcs, etc. I have created a custom character component that has a space for an image of the character, their physical traits, inventory, etc. When I populate this component in FigJam with info for each specific character, some of the sub-components in the main component I need, and some I don’t. I, FigJam, I’d like a way to easily select which sub-components I want to use for each instance of the component (maybe a simple list with checkboxes when I edit a component), choose variants of components (which you can already do), variables, duplicate objects within a frame, etc. Essentially, I love the power to design custom components in Figma, and I get what you’re trying to do with simplicity in FigJam.
