ngl, the new ui3 is pretty good. the only thing i dont like is the toolbar position. im still not used to it. maybe add an option to move it to the top?
Title pretty much says it all - whenever I try to go and give things a color and it doesn’t already have a variable or style attached to it, I select “libraries” and immediately want to search, I end up doing all sorts of weird things because typing activates other shortcuts. It is already immediately active when you click on a color that already has a library value, so why does it not become immediately active when it doesn’t AND I already click on “libraries” from “custom”? Such a small thing would save me so much annoyance. If you’re gonna implement something, implement it everywhere and consistently.

Hello! Today I accidentally deleted some elements from my space, but Figma has only versions which were created more than 30 days ago. I don’t understand why figma didn't do the backup version of my space before I did my delete, and now I can’t restore deleted elements from cmd+z and can’t restore my previous version because of the free account.Maybe I can restore my previous version from the support ticket?

So I’m new to figma, and I’ve been trying to search for a way to do this but haven’t found, and I don’t know if it’s possible.Basically this is within a frame, my homepage frame and I wanted to make the menu change the subject as you click in another theme.So you start in “starters” but when you click on “ramen” it changes to the ramen menu, but all this in the same page. Would this be possible to make? Every video I’ve seen has been showing me how to do it, but it's on different pages.
When you create a new file, it is automatically assigned a background color to the canvas depending on the selected theme. This ensures that you have the right background color for the selected theme. However, if you use “Theme = System Theme” as I do, the color of the graphical user interface will change but not that of the canvas. Therefor it would be nice to have the option to change background color of the canvas automatically depending on current theme

Hello. I am making a app and found a problem I don’t know have to fix. Let say I scroll down on page 1 and navigate the other pages (by clicking navigation at the bottom), I start at the bottom of that page. So where I am at Page 1 is where I will start on the next page. Anyone who knows the fix for this?
I’m trying to understand the process of sharing a Figma project file with another agency that I’m collaborating with. I’m a sole designer, working on my own professional plan. I don’t want to incur additional editing fees for someone needing to edit or work on my file. So, I want to understand how I can allow someone else the ability to edit or utilize my design without incurring additional costs to me personally. Is there no ability for someone outside of my plan who has a paid subscription of their own the ability to edit or use my project file without adding them to my account? How does someone go about sharing a project file without incurring costs personally?
In design mode, components bubble up properties from inner sub-components. This makes components much easier to interact with. In dev mode, the behavior is different. You only see the currently-selected component’s properties, and have to drill in to any sub-components to see their properties. It would be really nice to have the same behavior for both (bubbling up properties) so developers could see all the properties set on the parent on down to any smaller atoms.
I have a component that used to have multiple variants (component set), but I edited it, and now it holds only one variant in it. I am trying to remove the only variant property that was left there, but without any success. I guess it has to do something with the definition of the component, and I somehow need to change it back from a component set back to a regular component. Help 🙏
In File A I create 20 (arbitrary example) different components that have an icon instance property. File A has access to my Icon library (in another file). So I add all icons as preferred values for my 20 instance props in File A. Now I add some icons to my library and publish the update. Well guess what? Now I have to go through the 20 props in File A to manually add those new icons as preferred value. Imagine this at the scale of a mature international design system. What’s the point of the preferred values feature then?
I am following the Figma beginners tutorial and when I select a group within my design, and attempt to convert it to a frame, some of the material from the group does not seem to render into the frame. In particular, it seems to cut off some of the material from the borders.I’m following the steps outlined in the tutorial - create a group, select the group, use the drop down menu on the right to change “group” to “frame”.
Hi,I've been having a nightmare today trying to access different pages in the Figma Mac app. Some pages load fine, but others simply won't open. I've tried resetting the cache, using the browser version, and even resetting the cache there as well, but the performance issues persist.Is there anything else I can try to resolve this problem?
This is probably more of a fringe scenario, but it would be nice to be able to change the day on which a recurring Figma subscription is processed.Our Accounts Payable team requires all expenses up to the 20th of each month be included with monthly credit card reconciliation, due for submission on the 26th. Our Figma subscription is processed on the 20th, but it often doesn't post to our expense management system until the 25th or 26th. If we could change this to process earlier in the month, we'd have more flexibility over submitting our report each month—without needing to hover over our expense management system on the 25th and 26th to see if the charge posted. According to the Support team, we purchased an annual subscription on the 20th of the month. I’m trying to switch the fill color of certain elements that have assigned color variables. Normally you can just click on the applied color variable and it will pull up your library and you can switch it. But when I click on it now it doesn't do anything and I can’t switch it that way anymore. I’ve tried quitting/reopening Figma and the file itself, and restarted my computer, but it hasn’t helped. Was wondering if you could help?

Bug DescriptionI have built a prototype using components and variables. Specifically, the situation involves one component being hidden and another displayed. These components are linked to another library.The Issue:Text within the displayed component is no longer visible, leaving the field blank. (See attached screenshot.) This issue does not occur on Mac, in Chrome browser, or in the Figma app. However, the bug appears on Windows devices, particularly in Edge browser. Additionally, the issue seems to affect external users who are not logged into Figma.Since this is a test file, the issue occurs consistently (100% of the time). Impact and ChallengesThis bug has already consumed significant time and resources. Hi there, I’m trying to copy and paste a frame from a previous version within my file into my existing workspace. The frame is being pasted, but components and layers are showing as empty frames. Any solutions?
