🚀 Exploring the Best Prompts for Figma Make

Lately, I’ve been experimenting with Figma Make to streamline the design-to-code workflow. While it’s an exciting tool, I’ve noticed that prompts play a huge role in getting meaningful and usable outputs. I’ve tried several approaches, but sometimes I still get “stuck” with prompts that Figma Make doesn’t fully understand. That’s why I’d love to hear from the community about the best practices you’ve discovered.

One of the challenges I’m facing is figuring out whether it’s possible to create prompts that help split files in Figma Make. At the moment, most of the code tends to merge into a single apps.tsx file, which makes it harder to manage. I’m curious if anyone has found prompt strategies that encourage better file structuring.

I also wonder if there’s a particular prompt format that works best in Figma Make. Sometimes it feels like the output changes drastically depending on how the prompt is written, so having a clearer understanding of formatting could help create more consistent results.

Another area I’ve been exploring is how to manage Supabase effectively through Figma Make. I’ve tried generating SQL schemas, but when I copy and paste them into the Supabase SQL editor, they often don’t work as expected. It makes me wonder if there are specific prompt patterns or adjustments that can improve this process. (I found a related discussion here: Setup Complex Database in Figma Make using Supabase)

Lastly, if Supabase isn’t the best option, I’d like to know what prompts or approaches people are using for handling state management effectively. Since state is critical in any application, having a reliable workflow here would be a game changer.

Some of my key questions are:
1. Is it possible to create prompts that help split files in Figma Make? (Currently, most of my code is merged inside apps.tsx.)
2. Is there a specific prompt format that works best for consistent results?
3. How can we manage Supabase effectively? I tried generating SQL schemas with Figma Make, but when I copy-paste them into the Supabase SQL editor, they often don’t run correctly.
4. If not using Supabase, what’s the best way (or prompt) to handle state management?

I believe others may have faced similar challenges, and it would be great to learn from your insights. 💡 If you’ve experimented with Figma Make, I’d love to hear your thoughts or even see examples of prompts that worked well for you.
