See screen shot. Getting this pop up. App and chat has been working fine. We went started on another phase of code and now this continues to pop up.

I cannot drag and drop a component into a slot, it only allows me to add from the preferred list, sometimes I may want to drag and copy components from near frames, but the slot won’t accept the component this way.

I understand that you want to stop bots, but showing me 10 poor quality pictures, which I have to match against 8 others each time is just horrible design. Almost dropped out directly, but figured I can vent afterwards as well.

I’m currently experiencing an issue when trying to verify my student account. Every time I attempt the verification process, I receive an error message and the verification cannot be completed. I also received a notification saying that if my account is not verified before March 15, I will no longer be able to use Figma Design.I have also contacted SheerID, but they informed me that they are currently unable to verify my student status at this time. This is quite concerning for me as I rely on Figma for my studies, so I would really appreciate any help in resolving this issue. 

I am reaching out to the Figma team as someone is  enrolled as a student at college. My classmates have been able to verify their student account. But I am unable to do so. And now I have come down to ‘Verification Limit Exceeded’. It’s a frustrating loop and I have even reached out to SheerID and education@figma multiple times, but the request has been turned down and failing, saying they’re unable to verify it. Please help me for the same.

For some variables clicking the button (`# component/input/field/inset` for example) will copy the resolved variable value and other times it copies the variable name. There doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason. In this screenshot “Radius” and “Padding” copy the variable name while “Min height” and “Gap” copy the value. I would prefer it copy the name so we can use the reference in our design system.

It started yesterday, March 10, 2026. My Figma Make freezes on certain elements. I found that it starts to freeze on Dropdown Items, which makes it impossible to work on the interface.The styles have also changed (some elements have changed color, outlines have been added or removed, which I did not do).  There were also errors like this:But the funny thing is that when you deploy a project to Publish or Static Files, everything is fine. I tried to use a recently updated shadcn component (made using slots) in my Figma file (our design system library also made using shadcn components), but I see an error that “Components with slots are not supported in this file” and the component could not be copied. Why is that happening? I have a professional full seat.

Hello,I'm having an issue with Figma. I can only see the mobile preview, and I can't switch to a desktop preview (app neither web)Also, when I watch tutorials, I see options like "Custom Settings", but these sections don't appear in my interface.Because of that, I can't change the preview or configure it for desktop.Does anyone know: why my preview is only in mobile view? how I can switch the preview to desktop? and why I don't have some options shown in tutorials (like "Custom Settings")? Good afternoon)) I copied the parent component and changed the data inside the rows of the drop-down list of the child component. In Figma, everything opens correctly inside the Frame, but in the animation the list is different. How can I fix this?

Hello! A client granted me a full seat, which I can also see stated next to the workspace name. But inside the files I still see the “Ask to edit” component. The client checked the settings ion their side and say that everything is set as for other active designers. But I still see either the “view-only” component or “ask to edit” one where I did not yet ask for permission. I have no clue where the problem lies. Anyone has a clue? 

When I try to expand the image, it shows the error “Cannot expand transparent backgrounds”, but that’s exactly what they did in the video, has anyone managed to do it?I’ve already tried putting the image inside a frame, flatten and using Fill background, but nothing worked.

I used figma make to generate poster. It write codes but I cannot see it on preview page. I have tried to refresh page and checked my internet connection. And I cannot see the preview in both web and application, what can I do?

Hi!I have a paid Dev subscription for $20/month, and I often use Figma MCP to generate layouts. Today, for the first time in many months, I encountered an issue where my MCP started returning the error:“Rate limit exceeded, please try again tomorrow.”What’s going on? I’ve used MCP much more actively before, but this time I only used it to generate three sections of layout and immediately got this error.Is this due to new limits/rules, or is it a bug?   

I am facing an issue while working on the prototype. Whenever I try to create a connection between elements, this interaction is automatically being applied, even though I did not intentionally set it. Because of this, it becomes difficult for me to control the prototype flow.Could you please look into this issue and let me know how I can stop this from happening automatically?  I am also experiencing another issue while creating components and setting up prototypes with variants. Even though I am following the proper process, when I click Play to preview the prototype, the component behaves inconsistently. Sometimes it appears smaller, sometimes larger, and occasionally it stops working.I have been facing this issue for the past 4–5 days. Could you please check and help resolve this problem?

why did Figma MCP options like Generate and pull Figma designs always disappear in Codex even though my Figma MCP is enabled in settings of Codex? Why did I have to keep reinstalling Codex so that I can see the above pull/generate figma designs options again?

I am an admin and educator of a higher education institution. Students are invited via their university-issued e-mail and they have their status verified.I have created files for the groups of students, and when inviting them to the files, a warning saying “An admin needs to update this seat so they can edit” for every student. On the Admin page, where I would normally change seat types, the “Seat type” column is simply not showing.How do I change seat types for my students?

I worked on my figma project the night before on the 12th of March 2026 and the next day all my prototype is gone the connector lines are no longer visible. Months of prototype gone.
