Not able to duplicate variable groups after new fullpage variable layout

I understand you’re having trouble duplicating variable groups after the variables view update.

I tested this on my side, and duplicating a group is working as expected in both the Chrome browser and the Figma Desktop app. I also checked internally but wasn’t able to find any similar reports so far.

To start with a quick check, could you please try the following?

• Browser: Force-quit your current browser session and open Figma in a brand-new browser window.
• Desktop app: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app, then restart it.

If the issue still continues, could you please let us know the following so we can investigate further?

• Does this happen in the browser, the desktop app, or both?
• When you select a group within a collection, do you see the “Duplicate group” option in the right-click menu?
  • If not, please share a screenshot of what you’re seeing. Also, please double-check that you’re selecting a group (not a collection) in the variables sidebar by expanding the variables modal or scrolling within the sidebar.

With this information, I can escalate the issue to our team if needed.

Hello Junko3 and thank you for the reply. Below are my answers to your questions:

1. Occurs in both Desktop app and browser
2. I have restarted both browser and desktop app multiple times, and I have restarted my macbook
3. Issue still exists - Attaching 2 screenshots. One is the right click on a group and the other is the right click on a variable. On a group it doesnt show anything, while on a variable it does the expected menu

me and my team are facing the same issue. after this fullscreen update we are not finding the option to right click on a group and make a duplicate of it. is there a fix for this? Restarted the desktop tool and browser but the issue is still there. Please help this is delaying projects. 

also paste function is not working when trying to copy value from one value field to another. i am not being able to paste a value, say a hexcode into the value column
