For days, I keep getting this screen when trying to access one of my figma files. The page doesn’t reload. I tried logging out and logging in, deleting unsused files, etc. nothing works.

Hey @aykcho, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you've been stuck on this for days!

To help narrow this down, could you let me know a few things:

  1. Does this happen with just this one file, or are other files affected too?
  2. Are you seeing it in the browser, the desktop app, or both? If browser, which one?
  3. Does the error show an error ID (usually a string of letters and numbers under the message)?
  4. Does the file load at all before the error appears, or does it fail right away?

If you're able to identify the specific file, the quickest path forward is to share it directly with our support team at support-share@figma.com with "Can view" access, then submit a request through the Support Hub referencing that you've shared it. That'll let us dig into the file directly rather than guessing from the outside.

In the meantime, it's also worth checking your browser's console log for errors, here's how to export a console log if you want to include it in your report.

Let me know what you find and we'll go from there!

Thanks for tour response.

  1. Yes, it’s happening just on one file.
  2. browser, don’t have desktop app.
  3. nope, just the screenshot I provided
  4. it shows a loading screen with the figma logo and the loading bar but never makes it to the end or shows any of the content before showing the error screen.

I will send the URL for the file to the support team email you provided. Unfortunately, since I cant access the file, I can’t set the access to “can view”.

Hey @aykcho, thanks for the detailed answers!

No worries on the "can view" access. Since you can't get into the file, you won't be able to set that up, and that's completely fine. Go ahead and submit your request through the Support Hub with the file URL included, and mention that you weren't able to set sharing permissions due to the access error. Our support team can take it from there and dig into the file directly.

While you're at it, if you're able to share the URL with the team.

Once you've got that submitted, keep an eye on your email for updates from the support team. Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!

I still can’t access my file (same error) and I don’t see where to submit my request on your Support Hub link. It takes me to this page: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us Figma Learn page, with a chat bot but no form or clear place to submit. Please help. I need to access my file.

Hey @aykcho, apologies I linked the wrong page earlier! The correct link to submit a request is the Support Hub.

To save you a step, I've gone ahead and created a support ticket on your behalf. Your ticket number is Ticket #2008746, for reference.

To help the team move as fast as possible, could you reply to the ticket email with:

  • The file URL
  • Browser and OS info
  • A screenshot of the error, if you have one

Someone from the team should be in touch with you soon.

For future reference, here are the ways you can reach Figma Support:

  1. Support Hub request, the Support Hub request form
  2. The "?" icon in Figmaclick the help icon in the bottom corner of the app to report a bug directly from where you're working.
  3. Community Forum, you can always post here and one of us will jump in.

Again, sorry for the mixed-up link!
