Figma Make chat overlap UI bug

Recently I’ve been facing this issue multiple times in Figma Make. The chat elements keep overlapping with each and sometimes even showing duplicates. It is kind of confusing. I have to reload the chat to fix the issue.

Hey ​@Komalpreet Kaur 👋 I’m sorry to hear about this.

I have a few questions to help us troubleshoot together:

  • Is this happening with the Desktop app or browser, and what is your OS? 
  • Does it happen while the AI is actively streaming a response, or does it appear after the response finishes / on scroll-back?
  • Did it start after resizing the chat panel, or happens no matter what?
  • About how many prompts/versions deep is the file when it happen?

    Hey ​@Jaycee Lewis , thanks for getting back to me! Here are the answers to your questions:

    • Environment: I am using the Figma Desktop App on Windows, operating inside a corporate/company network environment.
    • Timing: I haven’t noticed a specific pattern yet. It feels random and is not permanent. Sometimes I have to reload the chat to fix it, but other times it actually gets resolved by itself.
    • Panel Resizing: No, I did not resize the chat panel before this occurred.
    • File Depth: The current file is quite deep (over 20+ versions), but I am fairly certain I have seen this glitch happen on earlier versions/less deep files as well.

    Let me know if there is any other specific information or logs I can provide to help track this down!

    Hi ​@Komalpreet Kaur 👋 If you have access to the file where this happened, can you grab the logs shown in my screenshot?

    All three may provide support with more details. We don’t need to share here, I’ll open a support ticket for us and have you add the following there:

    • The logs
    • A link to the file with view-only access
    • A full-screen recording that isn't zoomed in (if possible)
    • Relevant screenshots
    • Any other details that might help
