Hello,For over a month now, the search function in Figma has not been working correctly for layers—whether text, graphic, or any other type. Instead of displaying specific elements, the search results only show design thumbnails, making the search feature practically useless.This issue severely impacts workflow, especially in large projects. Without the ability to quickly locate layers and text, navigation and editing become chaotic and significantly more time-consuming.We believe this is a widespread issue affecting many users, not just our team. I’ve already fixed typo of a color style variable name from Bg-Reverse-A00 to Bg-Reverse-A100 But still got old JSON data:```bash curl -H "X-Figma-Token: <my-token>" "https://api.figma.com/v1/files/<my-file-id>/styles"``` I tried to suffix the URL with “?timestamp=random_number” but still got the same old data. 

When creating a new project, the UX regarding the privacy/security settings is totally broken: Although  the first screen says that the new project will only be accessible to people that are directly invited, this is demonstrably not true. Because if you call up the “Share” screen after having created the project, it shows that by default, all team members have access, too: Why is this a problem? Users create a project in good confidence that they really control who has access - but in reality, they do not.I would bet that most users are not aware of this “feature”, since the documentation https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038006494-Create-a-new-project is not really pointing this specific topic out in much detail.Somehow it seems that the DEV team at Figma does not see this as a problem, since I reported that problem more than 2 month ago. Maybe a discussion here will raise more awareness for this.Kind regardsPeter

I just used Figma with a trackpad for the first time in a while and noticed the scrolling speed is way too fast (moving the canvas with by scrolling using two fingers on the trackpad on mac). Faster than it used to be. Is there a way to slow this down? I’ve put this into “Report a problem, because the speed changed on its own from the last time I used it. It used to be slower. Figma changed without me changing a preference or setting, which seems like a bug/problem.

Hello figma team, I used to be able to use the AI ​​functionality to enhance images but now it has disappeared, I have an educational plan. Why could that happen? 

I’m working through a UX Design online course, and I’m at a part where I created a usability test around the prototype I made in Figma. I sent out the links of the prototype to 5 people and the 3 that have gotten back to me said the navigation bar didn’t populate. On my end, in figma on my laptop or on my phone the navigation bar shows up for me. I’ve tried googling this issue and troubleshooting multiple possible solutions, but so far nothing has worked. Does anyone know how to fix this or what would cause part of the prototype to not show up with the link?

Hello! I have noticed recently that WebGL seems to crash when doing simple tasks in Figma, to the point that it is unusable. Figma used to work fine for me a couple of days ago, and now doing simple things such as using the color picker, moving an object slightly, zooming in on very simple files seems to make the screen black out, and WebGL will fail to load for about a minute after that. I have never had this problem until a couple of days ago, this makes me suspicious this bug was introduced in an update. I have tried clearing the website cookies, enabling override software rendering list and this has unfortunately not fixed the issue on my end. Please fix this major problem soon! Operating System & Browser: ChromeOS 132CPU: Intel Celeron N5100 

I have a component that I updated and then published individually by clicking “Publish changes…” in the properties panel. The component updated without issue, but it still shows up as “modified” when I open the file-level “Publish Library” dialog. At the component level, it no longer shows as having changes to publish. I’m now wondering how many of my components are showing a false-positive…

Hi everyone,I'm trying to import a website design for Stips into Figma, but I'm running into issues with Cloudflare blocking the import process. I've tried various approaches, including using Puppeteer with cookies copied from an authenticated browser session and even using a VPN, but Cloudflare still interferes.Has anyone encountered this issue before? What strategies or workarounds have you found effective for bypassing or resolving Cloudflare-related blocks during the design import process?Thanks in advance for your help!

Does anyone have Figma Tax Residency Certificate for 2024 and 2025? How can I get one? I need it to avoid double taxation. 

For around the last week, we’ve been having various problems with text inside our Figma files.Sometimes, elements that have text properties attached to them become un-usable. If I try to Cmd+Click to edit the text inside the instance, it simply will not select. If I type text into the property field, it displays in the panel but that’s not reflected in the instance.There are also problems with display. I have a menu for example, with a background colour and text colour variables applied, and default and active states: But when I change to the active state, the text vanishes from view, although it has the correct, dark colour applied: Last thing is that sometimes when we change states, Figma is resetting the name of the layer: We’ve closed and re-opened the files. Closed and restarted Figma. Closed and restarted our machines. Cleared the cache. It’s not on every piece of text or every component. A component that was working fine earlier in the week is now playing up.Is anyone else exper

It was there 3 hours ago (in the unnecessary expand/collapse section. I ALWAYS want to see that setting, and if you insist on putting in an expand/collapse section, for goodness sake PLEASE let it remember it’s last state so I can open it and see it forever more!!)

Hello!..I have a problem in these days. I created nested components in main component and moved the instance to another file. The instance is broken and other nested components inside are broken too. So what’s wrong? 

In the new UI Figma doesn’t show the option to bookmark the plugin on the first preview. After going to plugin details you are able to save it. A small bookmark icon in front of the plugin name can be a much easier solution. The old UI was more productive in plugin flow. I hope they fix this in the coming releases.

It is not easy to manage master files and updated design for overall components it a bit dificult thing

in figjam recently when I connect boxes with arrows and choose their colors from the proposed ones, instead of the ones I won, they show darker ones. How to fix this? 

I’m not sure if this is some niche bug or we’re supposed to do something when working with an older file, but I was updating a pretty old file about 1-y-o and when turning a frame with nested items into a new component I couldn’t find the option to add a text property to my component when a text layer was selected. I looked it up and didn’t find anything similar.I ended copying over all the elements outside of it and creating a new component that’s configured the same and the text property option appeared. It could just be a coincidence that the first one was an old layer but it’s the only difference I noticed.(P.S. UI3 is annoying, tried for a couple months and it never became as intuitive as the original UI over a week of use...)

Hi there, I’m seeing a sudden uptick in error responses to the Figma REST api on the get files endpoint, with the error message. There’s no recent changes in our use of the endpoint, has anything updated on the figma side that would explain this?

Hi,I see many people have had the same problem as I’m currently experiencing. I use Figma for private things, such as creating a wedding invite in October 2024. When I logged into Figma now, both the wedding invite and another project from the same time is completely gone. There is no trace of them neither in the Trash nor anywhere else. I don't have a "Drafts to move" option. I have not been prompted to upgrade my account or anything else, and since this is 4 months ago I also don't have the links to the projects because Chrome doesn't store history that far back. Can you please help me restore my projects? They were called “Bröllopsinbjudan” and something like “CV 2024” or similar.

Sometimes cmd-c just doesn’t do anything. I have to right-click and select Copy from the context menu.Sometimes it works, I have not so far found logic to it. The recent Figma update did not fix this. (I’m using the latest Mac build.)This happens MANY times every day, and as I’m sure you can understand, is very annoying and slows down my work.

Version: 124.7.4 After updating Figma, the top title bar of the Figma client is missing. I’m unable to move, minimize, expand, or close the client. I’ve reinstalled Figma twice and the issue is still persisting. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any idea on how to fix it? Currently on Windows 10 I’m also receiving a windows prompt when opening Figma: I’m able to open Figma if I launch it twice.

Bug happens when we have two elements: top one have mask operation applied to a group. I made a smallest reproducable case, it is avaliable in the attached design. After exporting to png format:await node.exportAsync({ format: 'PNG' })Exported result is looking completely different from what is displayed in playground or in the Figma player. I’ve attached the result in that document. From extracted bytes it is clear that problem is not in opacity of pixels, but in mixing the opacity back to color, or maybe in some blending process.It does not happen in the JPG format (and in other test cases in the attached design file). By the way issue is also appears when using the export dialog: Our plugin is heavily relying on ability to accurately capture frames. It was not the case in previous Figma release, looks like some logic related to transparency calculation have changed. Tested in figma desktop app, and in chrome. OS: Win 11.
