Just to confirm, make sure you meet all these requirements for using the MCP Server:

• Have a Dev or Full seat on the Professional plan (which you should do)
• Ensure that you have the latest desktop app downloaded and in use - Download the Figma desktop app here.
• Then, make sure you've enabled the server so it is running locally on the Figma desktop app (steps here).
• Lastly, make sure you've set up your client properly (we have instructions linked here for four main clients in our article: VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and Claude Code(Anthropic)).

I'm reaching out because I'm experiencing a similar issue.
I enabled MCP Dev Mode this week from the preferences panel and completed all the necessary configuration with Cursor.
However, over the past few days, I've been encountering connection issues

on Cursor's side, and I noticed that the MCP Dev Mode option has disappeared from my Figma settings (see screenshot).

Do you have any solution for this?
