Question

Workaround insert template bug

Nicola_Del_Ben

Figma Buzz is currently in beta. For those who are using it for experimentation there is a bug that does not allow us to insert our project files within Figma Buzz dashboards. The bug only allows shows public files from the Figma community but does not show your own local files, making it impossible to import.

Workaround: to make the choice menu appear to select our local content to use in the dashboards just close the “templates” window by clicking on the “X” and reopen it again. This will reset the “templates” side panel and reappear the submenu for choosing local files

Hi @Nicola_Del_Ben

Thanks for bringing this behavior to our attention! I tried to reproduce this on my end with my account, but I'm still seeing local files appearing in the template modal as expected.

I might be missing something about the specific situation though. Would you be able to share a quick screen recording of what you're experiencing? If I can see exactly what's happening, I'll be sure to flag it with our internal team right away.

Thanks for your patience.

This has been happening to us as well. Quite annoying. It’s very temperamental. If you close it and open it a few times it comes back. Our client is trialling it as well and for the life of them, they aren’t getting the local template at all once they select the initial page they want to insert.

Hi @y_toku

the problem occurred on windows 11 pro. I noticed that my account has disconnected. Reconnecting it I am trying that function and the problem does not occur. Initially it happened to me several times but I don't remember the sequence. If it happens to me again I will try to remember the sequence of clicks to reconstruct the path leading to the error by making a video.

hi @Jason Thomas

I would also try solutions like logout/login or a reinstall, just to see if anything changes. Currently I did a quick test and the problem seems to be gone. As written in another comment, if it happens again I will make a video. Thanks for your confirmation!
