I reach out a few months ago about Figma not working on chormebooks and the issue seems to be back.  Attached is a message a student gone on their chromebook.  Is there anyway you can help?  Thank you.

Hey everyone, I’ve got updates on this. A fix has been deployed, and Figma should now work properly on Chromebooks. If you're still seeing issues, try refreshing your browser tab.

Feel free to reach out to me directly if you're still running into any trouble and I’ll be happy to help.

Thanks again for your patience!

WebGL usually follows the browser updates, in this case, Chrome.

I would recommend checking if the browser and the Chromebook it self (ChromeOS) are up-to-date, if not, it is extremally recommended to update it to use Figma properly.

After doing the updates, go to https://get.webgl.org and check if WebGL is working.

Hey @Adebusuyi - sorry that the WebGL error keeps popping up and continuing to be a problem for you, and I’m happy to help further. My first thought is that there’s something that may have changed on your Chromebook that you may not be aware of.

Can you check on some things for me? I’d like to have a better understanding on what you’ve already tried, so I can get you more accurate answers.

@giliard mentioned checking if everything is updated. I’d first encourage you to check on your updates and WebGL to verify things are working.

If you’ve already done so, review the following in your Chrome settings:

  1. Your page zoom is set to 100%
  2. Graphics acceleration is enabled in your system settings

If you're still experiencing issues, try:

  1. Closing any unused Figma tabs
  2. Completely shutting down your Chromebook, wait for about a minute, restart it, then try again.
  3. Checking if there are any Chrome extensions that might be blocking WebGL - if you recently installed any, that could be the problem.

If you are able, can you also try loading the files on a separate device (mac or PC) and let me know if the file browser loads in other supported browsers there?

Can you also confirm if this is happening on one file, or multiple files you have? Thanks!

I've tried everything, even flashed my PC... it's still showing the pop up but when I use figma as a guest(chrome) it doesn't have issues...
