Hi @Maurizio_Vaggi, thanks for reaching out!
Figma education verification is actually done at the account level, not the team level. Students and educators first need to verify their individual Figma account to be eligible for the Education plan, which will then allow you to collaborate on any number of Education plan teams.
If you still qualify for the Edu plan, please reach out to Education@figma.com for any additional help with Edu re-verification.
Hi @djv thank you for your clarification.
I now understand how the verification works. I contacted education@figma.com but there is no possibility of extending the current status. At this point, then, I would like to know if and how I can requalify for an Edu plan in the future, especially now that I have just joined an online boot camp. If you could help, as I have not received any answers in the last few days.
Hi Maurizio, I am working closely with @djv, happy to help! Thanks for the update, and I’m glad to hear the verification process is clearer now.
I understand you haven’t heard back from the education@figma.com inbox yet and, I know the wait can be a bit inconvenient. While it’s not possible to extend an existing Education plan, you can absolutely reapply if you're currently enrolled in an eligible program like your new online bootcamp.
To do that, as @djv mentioned, you can also head to Figma’s Education page and submit a new application using your student or educator email address, or proof of enrollment from your bootcamp. If the program meets the eligibility criteria, the Education team will be able to confirm your eligibility. Here’s the form to fill out: Get the free Figma Education plan
You can find more details in our guide on verifying Education status, including the criteria and common reasons why an application might be denied or revoked.
If you'd like, I’m happy to flag your case internally if you need further assistance. Feel free to DM me the email you used to reach out, or your support ticket number if you have one. Thank you.
