We’ve identified a bug related to how Figma handles overrides when switching between component variants in different orders.Specifically, when we first apply the variant where the dropdown is open, everything works correctly. But if we start with the dropdown closed variant and then switch to the open one, we run into issues:– The icon sometimes changes incorrectly– Occasionally, the button type also changesThis issue isn’t limited to dropdowns — we’ve seen the same pattern affect many other components in our system.The bug appears to be tied to how Figma manages overrides based on the order of variant switching.We’ve attached a video showing this behavior in action. Please investigate, as this makes it hard to maintain consistency in large design systems.

Current SituationDesigners at my company often misunderstand Figma’s library concept and create their own libraries instead of using the official ones. Our existing libraries were migrated from Sketch and are being rebuilt with new themes, tokens, and therefore, new Figma variables. Everything is new, and we’re working hard to keep it consistent.Our GoalKeep the main files editable only by 3 designers Allow developers of our design system team to use Dev Mode fully in our main files, which requires enabling “Viewers can copy, save, and export from this file.” Ensure designers can see and use our library in the Asset Panel without being able to copy or duplicate the main file.Current IssueIf users are not viewers of the main file, they cannot see the library in the Asset Panel. If they are viewers, they gain the ability to copy assets or duplicate the file, because developers need that permission for Dev Mode. I have a project that I’ve been working on since August and after the most recent update it is gone.Not in my trash, not a draft, not archived, etc. I’ve already checked my deleted files and there’s nothing there.I am livid.

We’re updating our ORION design library to offer compacting modes. We’ve noticed an issue that seems to have been commented on here before (in threads that are now closed). Certain elements - really, just icons - seem to behave inconsistently when a compacting mode is applied. This appears to be true regardless of whether we apply a var to one dimension and lock the aspect ratio or we apply the var to both dimensions. We’ve checked our design system icons and can find no difference in the way they are drawn and structured. For our designers working in compact themes, this creates unwanted visual distortion, obviously. Hi,I have been using a Figma student account, and recently I was logged out of the Desktop App and prompted to log back in. After re-verifying my student status, I noticed that all my files, projects, and teams appear to have been wiped. I no longer have access to any of my work, including drafts—it looks as though a completely new account has been created under the same email address.This is extremely concerning, as I’ve lost access to years of work. Any format of images are not visible in preview mode/prototype, but visible while export as PDF/.JPG/.PNG. Have debugged basic problem like frames, blend, fill etc… Anyone have any idea about this? I stucked with this problem☹️

After downloading my file everything takes awhile to download and its blurry. It is a PDF to send to potential employers so blurry and delayed photos cannot happen. Please help 

I have created a component with two layers of text on a curve/path. When I use instances of this component, both text layers do not match the original component’s location. I’ve tried changing the contraints for these layers to everything and nothing seems to help. Any ideas?

I used to be able to see the pixel distance between a frame and an object inside it by holding the Option/Alt key. But now hovering while holding Alt no longer shows the offset horizontal and vertical measurements. Smart Snap is still working but offset measurements do not appear at all.Is there any way to restore this feature? Thank you.

Hi, I am a design student at DJ Academy of Design, and have been using Figma Education for a while. Today I opened my file and it says I can only view and comment. When I tried to verify again, it showed “Verification limit exceeded.” I've tried multiple times and uploaded the proper documents but I’m not able to get done with my verification. Why is this happening when all my documents are correct and I've made sure everything is proper. Now I’m not able to edit my own files and couldn't work and also I’m student and who have lots of courseworks to be done. This verification is not really helping right now.  Can you please help me reset my verification or fix this issue so I can get back access to editing my files?

I have been working on some projects for a couple of weeks.  I wanted to move them to another brand new Figma account.  I exported and then imported the project.  I was hoping it would go ahead and setup a new Supabase like it did when I first created the project.  The problem is that it didn’t and I have followed everything Figma is telling me to fix the issues on the Supabase side.  Stilling have Supabase issues like the health test failing; so it isn’t even a Figma issue.  Any way to start fresh and using an import project and everything is done for me?  Oh and I don’t care about the data or any ids related to the project.

I started using Figma Make because it popped up and asked me to. I thought I’d build a simple swimlane workflow with minor interactive options to showcase a scenario of a migration from one platform to another. It pretty much nailed the layout at the start, which got me excited. But 4 days later - I want to scream, it’s so frustrating. Subsequent requests to get it to work correctly made it go into a loop of fail that it keeps repeating no matter what. I even linked it to the working version and it still can't get it right. After 100s of versions and a conversation 4 days long, I give up. So much for this portfolio piece I put so much effort into. The AI is just not very bright - at all.

My components are shifting slightly when duplicating or resizing a frame. Copy and paste in place doesn’t work any more. Every copy of a component is in a slightly different position. Any solutions for this problem?

 Hello guys! There is an issue I am running into when I’m trying to export my artwork from Figma to Illustrator. First I’m saving my work as a PDF from Figma, then I open it in Illustrator, convert it to CMYK, everything is fine at this point, but when I’m saving it from Illustrator and then open in preview all the colors look much paler then they are. Please help me understand why is that happening

I have an issue within my design team where a warning appears saying "drafts to move files will be moved soon" only when I view the presentation mode thumbnail. The files are in separate folders for their respective teams, and we use the PRO plan. Searching for the presentation file within the folders is not possible. What could this warning be about? :

Title: Keyboard shortcut created for File → “Save Local Copy...” no longer worksDescribe in detail the bug/issue you are running intoI created a keyboard shortcut for File → “Save Local Copy...” as I constantly have to make backup local files on sharepoint of some of the client work files (locked down local versions) Since a recent update, you press the keyboard shortcut key and the dialog simply doesn’t work and the Local Save doesn’t start.
