I’m working on some mobile app mockups with very few frames in the prototype trying to test a few gestures. When I load it onto my phone using the mobile app it runs very poorly. I thought it might be image sizes so I compressed them by exporting them at the right size and still terrible performance. Then I removed the images entirely and just used vector shapes, still awful. I am running it on a Pixel 7 Pro with the app updated. I have deleted and redownloaded the app and used new files with just simple frames. Nothing seems to make the Figma app work well. Is there a better way to test mobile gestures on a device with touch? PS. I saw other topics like this one Here that is very similar to my issues from a year ago with no solutions.

I don’t know if this is a bug or simply a feature I don’t get: Shadows look completely different when applied to a shape with a fill vs. an auto layout of the same dimensions with the same fill. Even stranger, when clip content is applied to the auto layout the shadow looks the same as it does on the shape.Is there anything I can do to ensure a shadow renders the same whether or not it is applied to a shape, a frame or other object? And what’s with the clip content difference? I would have expected the shadow to look different with clip content enabled, not the other way around.I’d be much obliged if anyone could enlighten me. 

If i have a whole bunch of spacing tokens, and then also number tokens for like line height etc, when i go to open padding, i have to scroll through line height, type size, radius and then get all the way down to spacing to choose the right token. Is there a better way to apply tokens to a whole system of components?   

Hi everyone,I’m trying to verify for the Figma Education plan and I’m stuck: the verification flow shows:“Verification Limit Exceeded… you’ve already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer.”But my Figma account still shows I’m not verified, and I can’t proceed. I believe a failed attempt got counted and now I’m locked out. I’m a student and used my school email domain (happy to share the exact account/email privately with a Figma staff member). I contacted SheerID and my support request was closed without a reset, so I’m not sure what the next step is.Does anyone know how to reset verification attempts / clear the lock, or how to get a manual review from Figma support? I can provide screenshots and account details privately if a moderator/staff can escalate.Thanks!

Hello all,Recently I bought a design library to use in my projects. As I try to publish the library on my Pro account, I am getting the attached pop up saying that I need to upgrade Organization account. This is the first time happening to me and I can really say why. And I don’t run a team, its just me.Is it because the library is too complex for Pro account? Whats going on here?   

Because there was no clear warning or confirmation prompt on the iPad interface, I intended to log out of my account, but accidentally deleted my entire Figma account instead.I have been using Figma since my undergraduate years. It is not just a tool to me, but something that has accompanied me through many important stages of my study and design projects. It contains years of my work and creative efforts, and I am currently in the middle of several critical projects.I only realized what had happened after receiving the email saying that my account had been successfully deleted. I was completely shocked and frozen when I saw it.The email mentioned that if projects had collaborators, ownership would be transferred. However, in reality, none of the files were transferred and all of my projects have disappeared.I truly cannot accept losing everything this way, and I am desperately seeking help.If there is any possibili

Hello!  I’m having trouble with the preview functionality, as it is stuck in a square aspect ratio, displaying a section of the total screen. Even when I click fill screen, it is still showing the same thing, only larger. Please see images below. Any help is most welcome!  

I love Figma MCP server on Windows side of development but now I would like to use it for XCode and iOS.  I have successfully configured Github Copilot for XCODE and using that I have specified the typical Figma MCP setting but no tools show up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As an admin, I’d like to be able to view (+track) activity related to Dev Mode. Am I simply not looking in the right spot or is it not an option yet? Any workarounds? For example, who’s actively using/engaging with Dev Mode, which files are marked “ready for dev”, etc.

Hi all! So my problem is that when I try to draw a donut-like shape applying fill to it after just fills everything inside, including a hole that supposed to be left empty. What did I do wrong? 

Disclaimer: I’m almost completely new to Figma, so I apologize if I’m missing something extraordinarily basic.I’ve used the AI creator to design a website and done a little bit of manual modification in the code. I’d now like to migrate the design to Framer so I can publish it.The problem is that I can’t select anything. The tutorials I see for what I’m trying to do all feature the ability to select components by double-clicking them, and there’s a “Layers” menu on the left-hand side. I have none of this. All I see is the AI chat on the left-hand side and the ability to toggle between the Preview and Code at the top.Does anyone know why I can’t select anything and why this menu doesn’t appear for me? Figma’s AI support seems to have no idea.This issue persists across Firefox and Chrome and doesn’t resolve if I duplicate the project.

When I am double tapping on the canvas for the right click menu- it is not working. It only works if you click on track pad. The double tap works on layers but not on canvas.  

Maybe there’s a workaround I’m not aware of — any help would be appreciated.I’m trying to create a card component with text and an image. The tricky part is the image: it should be flexible and support different aspect ratios across component instances.In the main component, I use an image placeholder for the visual. However, when I swap that placeholder with a real image in an instance, the image always conforms to the placeholder’s dimensions instead of preserving its original size/aspect ratio. I tried different auto-layout options but nothing worked.I’m looking for a way to build this so that the image resizes based on the card dimensions and it’s own aspect ratio, rather than forcing all images into the same fixed size. 

Hi all, I created some designs that I exported as PDF. I have two problems with the result: The text is not selectable (I tried Mac’s Preview and Safari). The files are rather large (1MB for an A4 size design, no images or vectors, just a few text bozes. Any ideas how to overcome this? (I would try to avoid bringing it back my design to Sketch.

I’ve just started to use Figma Slides, I want to be able to change the colour of the pasteboard surrounding the slide but unlike in Figma Design, I can’t see an option to do this. Is it not available in Slides? 

I have created a set of wireframes to simulate the user interface of a scientific instrument we are developing. We are successful in accessing the figma remote MCP exposed at "https://mcp.figma.com/mcp" via OAuth based access via browser SSO login. We are exploring ways to automate figma MCP access in a headless mode so would like to understand passing PAT token for remote MCP authentication. We tried passing PAT in Auth headers and X-Figma-Token header but get unauthorized for remote MCP at this endpoint "https://mcp.figma.com/mcp". Wrestling with yet another gap in basic Figma functionality.I’ve inherited a design file w/ an extensive set of variables -- lots of tokens, primitives, etc. I just want a single, top-down view of how the variables were organized and their values. Basically what you can see (but can’t print or export) from the current variables table view. Can’t do it, even with plug-ins -- I get variable NAMES but not values if the values are other referenced variables. AND THAT’S WHAT I NEED TO REVIEW!This should be a basic management feature. Figma is deferring too much basic stuff to plug in developers which puts the onus on users to 1) do additional research into plug-ins and 2) learn the ins/outs of plug-ins of varying quality. If someone has a solution I haven’t found yet, LMK. I’ve made a web-app with figma make, and was happy to see that Push to Github was an option, but I’m having issues with this feature. Whenever I made a change to code, either by ai or manual, I saw that Github didn’t recieve the updated code. I investigated som more and found out that Figma don’t understand how files from the project were being pushed.I have a root directory in github, with one folder (/src). Here, all my files from figma make lies (Public etc) What I noticed is that Figma creates two index.html files, two package.json, two vite.config.ts  on push.The original files from Make is in /scr. and another basic version gets put on the Github root.I’ve tried to figure out how to fix or work around this, but I cannot figure it out. I’ve tried moving the correct versions to Github root, but to no help. And to make it worse, they get overwritten with every push. Must be some more files not being pushed to the right location.

Hi everyone,I have colors defined as variables in my project. Is there a way to edit the assigned token in the variables directly from fill?I can't find such an option. So now, to edit them, I have to go to variables and find the token in the collection. In my opinion, it's a workaround.
