Starting March 18, AI credit limits will be enforced for Full seats. For teams on the Professional plan, Full seat users will have a monthly limit of 3,000 AI credits.
In short: AI usage pauses once the limit is reached unless additional credits are available. Credits reset on your team’s billing date (not the 1st of the month).
If your team needs more credits, you can purchase the AI Credit Subscription. This provides a shared monthly pool of credits that users can draw from after they’ve used their included seat credits.
Regarding your question:
“Will they be able to use more AI credits than expected, which will then be billed at the end of the month?”
That would be a Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) model. PAYG billing is expected to roll out to all plans in Q2 2026. Once available, admins will be able to enable PAYG to purchase credits as needed, set a spending limit, and use it alongside an AI Credit Subscription or as a standalone option.
