Hello. I have a problem with desktop app. Figma write me a messege like: “Connection error: -7. Your computer may be offline or the Figma server may be experiencing problems. Figma will automatically try to reconnect.” But WEB app is working. Whu have a similar problem like me?

Hi everyone, I’ve been learning Figma for 3 months. So far, I have designed my portfolio on Figma and worked with the prototype of this platform as a showcase link. Hi, When using the Smartling plugin connected to Figma to export a project, we always apply the Delete Hidden Layers plugin before export. However, some hidden layers are still present when exporting to Smartling. What can we do about this?

We have experienced a few issues where design changes made >72 hrs ago are occasionally not pulling through to dev accounts. This is of course problematic given that devs are unable to consistently see iteration that has been requested. Has anyone else experienced any sync issues / know how to mitigate? Have not run into before.

Whenever I try to open a file from the community, I’m now required to assign a team to this new file. Additionally, in the drafts section, it feels like Figma wants us to move our drafts to a new team project by renaming the Drafts tab to “Drafts to move.” I understand that Figma’s goal is to push users into using projects to increase the adoption of plans, which could boost revenue. However, after Adobe’s TOS scandal, I’m worried about potentially needing to leave Figma if drafts become limited. I currently have over 99 drafts, and moving them would be a hassle. Additional feedback: I find teams very unintuitive and prefer to centralize my solo projects in drafts. I often forget I have files in a team’s Drafts section. It would be great if the team preview could show both Drafts and Projects on the same page.

TL;DR - Looking for a plugin to save me hours of work. Hi everyone, I’m working on a B2C financial product where I present different payment/loan options. Recently, there’s been an increasing demand from our sales department to prepare “demos” that are essentially prototypes of our product with specific prices relevant for sales purposes. As a result, I end up spending a lot of time creating duplicates of the product and manually changing numbers on a large number of screens. I’m looking for plugins that can make my life easier. I’m familiar with “find and replace,” but the problem is it replaces prices on all screens in the file, which messes up places I don’t want to change. The same component appears in multiple places with different prices (e.g., before and after tax), so controlling the text through the parent component isn’t an option either. I’d love to be able to select, for example, ten screens and specify that the price on those screens should change from $30 to $40. Is there

I need to get into text layers sometimes on files, changing the copy. This requires a series of doubleclicks to get there, because the layers are embedded. Is there a shortcut to editing the copy directly?

I used to use shortcuts to quickly rename frames/groups/etc. — this helped me maintain the structure clear (I’m obsessive but don’t have time to give a name to each entity) Previously, it worked like this: I used shortcut cmd + r → I pressed delete → I pressed enter — took me like 2 seconds & resulted in Frame 1321314636 becoming just Frame, for example However, after the last update (I suggest?) this feature doesn’t work properly. Is there anyone who experienced this too? Did you manage to solve the problem? Still don’t understand why Figma would change this, so prefer to think this a bug

As a UX designer who often uses FigJam, I find it frustrating that I can’t lock simple shapes, like rectangles, to work over them without moving them. This feature is available on Miro and it’s incredibly useful. If Figma could add an option to lock objects, it would greatly simplify the design process for all of us. What do you think? 😇

Did anyone facing serious glitch in animated elements in Figma after the latest update, Especially smart animation?

Hello Figma Support, By any chance if this reaches to you. I have submitted a couple of tickets to the Figma support team because my Figma team account has been locked, but I have not received any response from them yet its more than 4 days now. We purchased a Figma license on November 29, 2023, and suddenly, our account is locked in 4th June 2024. This situation is unacceptable as my projects are now inaccessible, and I cannot use Figma. I have also shared a screenshot of my credit card statement, which clearly shows that the license amount has been successfully deducted on 29th November 2023. What is going on here? Figma Team need to understand this while having excellent software is an asset, poor support like this is a significant liability. Hi I am about to present a design for a client, but I am having issues with linking from a box placed in middle of page, to a new page. Hello! I had some charts in FigJam that had sections with some images within. After the update, some sections remained the same and some got an additional template button next to their names. These sections deleted all contents that were previously in them. I need to restore the contents no matter what. How do I do this?

When viewing a prototype, a user may navigate to different pages and frames. But the flow seems to be at the initial one through the user experience. The flow should be changed with respect to the page on which the user is. Or please answer if there is anyway I can do it with the settings. It would be really helpful when a client wants to see the prototype and every page is self explanatory when the correct flow is displayed. Thank you

Hey Figma friends. Everyone is talking about drafts right now but I would like to talk about the new sidebar. While it is more team focused and looks cleaner, it loses some important functionality from the previous design. . If you work with multiple teams, you lose the overview of those teams in the new sidebar as well as the interoperability between them. Example: how do I move a bunch of files to a project on another team? I can move one file with right click “move…” but that is not available for multiple files. . Starring a file or folder is a bit less meaningful now as it is now only team visible. Example: I keep a file “scratchpad” starred to drop in random stuff that doesn’t belong somewhere else. It is now only available in its team view. . Possible enhancement: Pin file or folder Maybe in addition to starring a file/folder, it could also be pinned placing it just below the “Recents” and making it visible regardless of team view? I wanted to transfer ownership to a different account since the account I am using now is a student email from my university which will be deleted soon after I graduate. I want to transfer the ownership to my personal account so I can still access all my work. However, when I check the members and try to edit their roles, I cannot assign ownership to the account I need. This account only has the ‘Admin’ option available, while other members can be made owners. How can I fix this?

Currently turning my Figma design into a website using css but can’t find a font that is in my design. It is called ‘Hannari’ and is listed as a Google font but I cannot find this font in google fonts or online. I tried doing export as css but that doesn’t work either.

Hi, I design fairly quickly on a 24-inch monitor. The active state for the chain icon is not prominent enough for me to spot it with the corner of my eye. I often end up messing up the proportions of my layers before taking a second look and realizing the chain icon was off.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to jump immediately to the Design/properties Sidebar and focus the ‘x’ property in that sidebar, with one or more objects selected? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. In Sketch the keyboard command is option + tab, and this shortcut is a huge productivity booster. It allows you to use the keyboard almost entirely to manipulate a design, in combination with tree traversal shortcuts. If there is no such shortcut—is this possible to hack together somehow using Karabiner or something similar? I really need this in my Figma workflow.

Hi guys! I’m developing a site where users can access my components with Node.js (using Next.js as the backend for REST calls). My question is: for people to be able to access my components through the website and be prompted to open Figma Desktop to see my components, do I need to use the REST API (GET call), or can I use the Figma plugin you download directly through the desktop and somehow incorporate it into my project?
