Hi, can my old account be merged into my personal account? My old account is no longer under that organization, and I’d like to track my topics and receive notifications for them. I know it’s a silly question, but if there’s a way to do it, I’d really appreciate it.

This is my old (organization) account: https://forum.figma.com/members/rahend-96664

And, this is my personal account: https://forum.figma.com/members/rahendra-putra-k-111174

Hey @Rahendra_Putra_K — not a silly question at all, and thanks for sharing the context behind why this would be useful.

I checked into this, and merging forum accounts isn't something we're able to do right now, especially when one is tied to a previous organization. For the time being, the best path forward would be to continue using your personal account. You can still stay connected to your previous activity by subscribing to those older posts for updates, and linking back to them from new replies whenever it's relevant.

I know that's not ideal, and your feedback here is helpful. To make sure I'm passing along the full picture to our team, it would be great to know if any of the following would help in this case:

  1. Is keeping the activity history on either (or both) forum accounts important to you?
  2. Anything else we should consider when it comes to how your Figma and forum accounts are set up?

Share whatever comes to mind and I'll make sure it gets surfaced to the right folks on our end. If anything changes on the account merging front down the road, we'll be sure to announce it.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond and clarify things.

On your questions:

  1. The activity history isn’t something I rely on heavily, but it does serve as a useful record. In Indonesia, HR teams often do online searches during hiring processes, so having that history visible can help with their evaluation.

  2. I don’t have many concerns about how the accounts are set up, but there’s one issue that stands out. When I’m logged into both my personal and organization accounts in Figma, the forum automatically signs me in with whichever account I last used in Figma. That makes it tricky to switch, and I often open incognito tab just to use my personal account.
