My little Figpal Disappeared. Tried to log out and log back in but still haven’t found it.
I would Figma to provide form controls such as radio, dropdown etc. functionalities by default. Those are so heavily used in some designs but then to create how a radio should behave in real scenario, that needs a lot of efforts currently in Figma. These are some of the features I miss from Axure. Creating a dropdown with list options and interactions for those are inbuilt in Axure. I don’t understand what prevents Figma to provide those just of the shelf. Until that I need to deal with the frustrations!
Anytime I use a variant with overrides applied the interactive component causes the variant to revert to its default state in the prototype. I may be doing something wrong, but it feels like a bug.

I’ve lost an important file and can’t seem to find it anywhere in Figma. It’s a file called “CarbonBalance Wireframe Prototype.” I’m also not sure exactly which account I built it in (I have an education AND a free seat), so I’m happy to log in to my other, non-education account to ask there if I need to. While setting up my components for my component library, I came across an issue. A lot of my components contain instances of other components. To make sure our designers only use the correct components, we use the “_” before the names of nested components when publishing. But this causes the issue where properties of the nested components is hidden in the properties panel of the main component. For example:I have a “Dialog” component consisting of a header, a body text and an instance of a “dialog buttons” component. This “dialog buttons” component has multiple variants based on how many buttons should be visible and if they should be stacked or side-by-side. If I hide that nested “dialog buttons” component from publishing, it is not visible in the properties panel of the “Dialog” component when used outside the library. (And yes, I have checked everything from the “Expose nested instances” list) So, is there a way to hide the “dialog buttons” component from the asset search, but have
I’ve created this toggle and am having an issue with auto layout. With auto layout, the container size scales accordingly when the text is updated. However, I can’t overlap the containers. Auto layout insists on separating them. But I need them together because, when the “Shopping Bag” container changes size, I want the “Favorites” container to also change to maintain consistent padding. Is there a workaround for this?
In the “All teams” view, I want to be able to click on a user in the right column and see what projects they’ve updated or own. I can do this for listed Admin users, but I cannot do this for others in the team now. WHY?? Admins are typically not the heaviest creators in the tool, so this change makes no sense to me. I used to be able to see users in the right column with edit/create permissions in Figma, and could get a filtered view showing their work in the application. That’s what I need -- and frankly depend on because Figma organization and findability is so challenging. IT is TOO HARD to go into the left nav “Recents” item and dig for files that a user may or may not have shared with me. This is a major loss in functionality for those trying to find work from a specific team member across a large team. The plus and minus icons are don’t fill the entire container size – their square shape shows up on hover/click which looks awkward. There’s also a weird 2 gray borders on the sides of the 100%:
Hi all, I’m currently trying to connect a webhook to our team’s MS teams channel via Microsoft power automate. We have gotten the webhook to post LIBRARY_PUBLISH updates but as a results, we don’t get the entire list of Figma components that have been created/modified/deleted, etc. has anyone successfully gotten the webhook to post component names, excluding property names and values? Currently it requires 2 API calls to fetch the key and then the name itself. Thanks all! here’s an example of what’s posted:
I’m wondering if this is a bug. Sharing a ‘Presentation link’ gives the recipient a view-only view of the working Figma file along with notes. Makes sense if there are other presenters and they need to see the notes too. Sharing an ‘Audience link’ gives the recipient a view-only view of the slides. However, it also allows them – who will very often be a client – to click a button at the top to open a view-only version of the Figma file along with all of the presentation notes. Unfortunately, it’s currently not fit for purpose to share a link with clients, as there’s no way to send it purely for viewing without all the additional UI options to open in Figma and view notes etc.} Ideally, there needs to be a sharable ‘Audience’ view of the slides where all that can be seen is the slides – no extras, no ‘sign in’, no ‘add comments’ (ideally this can be switched on OR off), and definitely no ‘open in Figma Slides’. Just a view of the slides, and that’s it.
I’m not sure how else to describe this, but you almost need to have used Adobe XD, I think, to appreciate this. XD has (it’s not fully dead yet) smoothing and panning that is buttery smooth. If you haven’t experienced it, you may not understand what you’re missing. But boy, if Figma could match that, users would be amazed! It’s genuinely one of the things I absolutely loved most about XD.
When I try to stretch the frame, other components are also stretched, as you can see in my screen shots. I only want to edit the frame. How can I do it?
I received an email that says I have two weeks left on the education plan. It briefly states what will happen and what you can do about it. However, I'm still confused. I’m not sure how it'll affect my account and what I can or can't do with my files. I would love more clarity. Right now, I have two teams and have drafts and projects in both. One is a free team and the other is and education team. I have the most drafts in my education team as it’s the one I have been using the most. The main question I have is: Does this mean I won't be able to edit any files in my drafts under my education team? Will I only have access to the "free" team and need to move my drafts from the education team to my free team? Or can I still edit in the other team because the filed are in the drafts? I can’t use Figma now since it disables WebGL for no reason. This means I can use other sites just fine, but as soon as I try to open a Figma file, it crashes and disables Web GL. This happens immediately in some files while in others it takes it a couple of minutes to crash. This is really annoying since I’ve got some designs for a game I was making which I can’t access anymore. I tried with Edge too and I get the same results. Also I forgot to mention it but here are my computer specs in case it’s needed: CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-11700 @ 2.50GHz RAM: 32gb Disk: SSD INTEL SSDPEKNU010TZ GPU 0: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 750 GPU 1: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 OS: Windows 11 Does anyone know a fix? I’ve noticed uncomfortable lags when I share my screen via MS Teams and present something in Figma Desktop. It feels like fps drops drastically - from 60 to around 15-20. Mouse hover feedbacks with a noticeable delay. These lags I started notice after updating to macOS Sequoia. My setup: Macbook Pro 2021 M1 Pro with 32GB RAM, macOS Sequoia 15.0 External monitor HP Z27 connected via usb-c thunderbolt Figma Desktop 124.4.7 MS Teams for mac Version 24244.507.3125.3475 I started investigating to identify the root cause and so far I figured out the next: The issue is only with Figma Desktop and MS Teams mac app. If I use Figma in browser or MS Teams in browser, everything is smooth. The issue is more noticeable with UI3. When I switch back to previous UI, it works much smoother, however not perfect and smooth as without sharing. When I share the internal Macbook screen the issue is less to not noticeable. At least there is a difference. I tried different thunderbolt cables, no differences.
I can’t paste an image from Google Docs into Figma even though I can paste it into other apps. In Google Docs I either cmd-c or right-click, Copy. In Figma I cmd-v or right-click, Paste Here. Nothing happens. I can paste the image into other apps. I have successfully pasted the image into TextEdit, for example. I know Google Docs used to require workarounds to get images out. Despite confirming the image is available, I still can’t paste it into Figma. The native clipboard viewer on the Mac (finder, edit → show clipboard) can show images copied from elsewhere (e.g. Chrome right click, copy image) but also doesn’t show the Google Docs image. So it’s on the clipboard but in an unusual format. However it’s clearly available in some form or other apps wouldn’t be able to ingest the image when pasted there. It would be very helpful for Figma, which relies heavily on images, to explore if it’s possible to access Google Docs images from the clipboard.
Hi Figma Team🔆When re-ordering variants, I have encountered several suspicious issues: The drag & drop icon is not aligned with the variants. The list does not scroll up when dragging the item. When dropping, the selected variant is placed in a completely different position than where I released it. When dropping, the selected item turns into another variant, making the list completely untraceable. Can you please fix this issue? Thanks a lot in advance.
We recently updated the font family for our second brand (mode). Everything is working as expected in the design system library file. However, when I navigate to another file that uses that library of components and I switch the variable mode, it doesn’t switch my font (family or style, since they’re named differently), and it will sometimes say my font-family is missing. What am I supposed to do?
Trying to override images so that the image zooms in on hover, but all it does is show the original image from the hover variant. Any ideas? Tks!!
I’ve been using number variables for font weight and switching to string variables when we have italic weights. If the “Italic” is already selected in the weight/style field, then apply and number variable for a weight change, then italic style remains. I expected the style to switch to normal. Is this the right behavior? I’d like to stay with numbers for weight, but if they don’t override the style I’ll have to reconsider.
Currently, annotations only allow you to select the lowest level layers it can find. Many, many times I just want to document something on a whole group or frame, and it doesn’t look like this is possible, which seems like a huge miss.
All the frames in my prototype, even the ones with fill width or fill height, aren't resizing when I do some action or active "responsive" view in the prototype settings: You can see that the shadow on the box in the middle is resizes correctly, but not the stroke or background. The same issue happens with the table header above and the cards below it. I'm using the macOS app, but I also tried the web version. And I also tried with other files. It's the same thing in all of them.
