Variants cannot be rearrange

I’m facing the same issue. Has anyone found a fix?
It’s a bit frustrating—the sorting is messy, and I can’t rearrange it.

I understand you're having trouble reordering component properties, particularly variant properties.

I've tested it on my end, and it seems to be working fine. Could you please check a few things for us?

• Is this issue occurring only in a supported browser, in the desktop app, or in both?
• Could you try a quick fix to see if there's any difference?
  • Close any Figma tabs you’re not using, then
    • For the browser: Force-quit your browser and open Figma in a new window.
    • For the desktop app: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.

If the issue persists, could you please send us a video showing exactly what you're seeing? Please record your whole Figma screen. This will help us recreate the issue on our end to get a clear understanding. Then, we can figure out the right team to escalate to if further investigation is required.

I'm having the same problem. When reordering variants, the window automatically scrolls and this feature is unusable.

Just an update — on my side, the variant is back to normal. The sort icon is now aligned with the variant, and when I drag and drop, it lands in the correct position.

Hi ​@Junko3 , this issue occurs when there are more than 20 variants. Based on my previous experience, once the variant count exceeds 20, the sort icon becomes misaligned with the variant options.

However, my current Figma setup is working fine now, even with 20+ variants.

I too am having this issue. The issue only occurs when I scroll down in the pallette. As you can see in the screenshot, I have scrolled to the bottom of the pallette and the move icon is misaligned. 

It would be great if this pallette could be resized too in order to see all variant values.

I have 14 variants. The zip file contains a short video showing the issue. I had to zip it in order for your system to recognize the file.

This is occuring in the app on my mac.

In Chrome (Version 135.0.7049.96 (Official Build) (arm64)) it appears to be working correctly.

Update: I was reading through the thread again and saw that restarting the app might fix the issue and it did for me. For now the issue is no longer occurring.

The same variant is selected pre-scroll and the alignment of the icon is ok
