I can’t paste an image from Google Docs into Figma even though I can paste it into other apps.
In Google Docs I either cmd-c or right-click, Copy.
In Figma I cmd-v or right-click, Paste Here. Nothing happens.
I can paste the image into other apps. I have successfully pasted the image into TextEdit, for example. I know Google Docs used to require workarounds to get images out. Despite confirming the image is available, I still can’t paste it into Figma.
The native clipboard viewer on the Mac (finder, edit → show clipboard) can show images copied from elsewhere (e.g. Chrome right click, copy image) but also doesn’t show the Google Docs image. So it’s on the clipboard but in an unusual format. However it’s clearly available in some form or other apps wouldn’t be able to ingest the image when pasted there. It would be very helpful for Figma, which relies heavily on images, to explore if it’s possible to access Google Docs images from the clipboard.
