Is it possible to customize figma so that when I click anywhere in the component, I get to the parent layer and get in the right panel all the settings of my component?Since now when I click anywhere in the component its child layer is highlighted.Now for this I had to write a plugin that when I select a child layer redirects me to the parent layer + breaks all the nesting. But the plugin takes up space on the workspace and it is not very convenient to run it all the time. It would be cool to be able to do hockey in the settings.For example, pressing the default Commant + Clik I get to the selected layer, but for example, when pressing Option + Commant + Click that I would get to the parent layer of the component while the component itself remained swallowed upCommand + Click go to selected layer Option + Command + Click go to the parent layer, minimize nesting and see the component settings I have now implemented this by writing a plugin. But it is not very convenient to keep it open

When exporting a frame to PNG, Figma is increasing the image size by 1 pixel only on the horizontal axis, which is a problem when I need artwork with exact dimensions.  

Hey! I found peculiar issue with size variable with constrained proportions in Figma. When adjusting size values with variables, I expected both variables to update simultaneously since constraints was on, but it didn’t change the opposite value at all.

Whenever I create or open a Figma file with the new UI in Firefox (currently v128.0.3) on Mac, I can only see half the canvas. Not very helpful…

I have found some of my responsive designs when viewed as a responsive prototype are scaling down correctly but then are still scrollable to the right with a blank area. Solution - Set the Scroll Behaviour Overflow to Vertical on the top most frame (not sure if this works if your top most frame is a component) Hope this helps someone, Cheers

Hi guys, Is this a bug or is it a missing feature? If I take a components from one file, and I use it in another file, and after using it it the second file I make some changes in the original component, the changes won’t reflect in the second file. I basically need to copy it again from the main file to the second file.

It might be a bug. I accessed Figma using Chrome version 133.0.6943.54 (official release) (x86_64), and the local variable pop-up is displaying incorrectly—the line spacing fluctuates unpredictably and continuously flickers.I am unable to scroll vertically normally. 

Hi, I recently created an EDU plan using my school email and successfully verified it. After that, I created an EDU team called ‘jierui edu’. However, today I noticed that my edu team was automatically changed to a Pro team that expire in 3 days, and I can’t switch it back or create another edu team. How can I resolve this?

I’ve created a button component that has a text label inside of it. I applied a text property to the text label so the text can be edited. The button has several size variants. The text property will update for ALL variants except the default size.  I have tried resetting my browser. Closing all instances etc. Nothing works and so far there is no forum topic for this specific issue. Please help me out

I’ve noticed this issue for over a year, but it’s particularly bad now so I’m reporting it. Issue: If I try to use the color picker tool (either with the control+C hot key or manually by selecting the fill color, then clicking the color picker icon), then I do something else in Figma like type in a couple text boxes, then try to use the color picker again, it doesn’t work. Clicking it does nothing. Worth noting that it does seem to work if I use the color picker multiple times in a row without doing else in between. Things I tried: breaking components, using hot keys and doing it manually, updating Figma, restarting the app. No luck. My interim solution has been to refresh the figma page. But I need to refresh it literally every time I want to use the color picker, which is super tedious. (I’m creating a huge color sheet, I’ve refreshed my page literally 20 times). Context: I’m on a Mac, running macOS Sequoia 15.1.1  Using the Figma desktop app. Figma Desktop App version 124.7.4

When sharing design files, I’ve come across a few instances this week where the view of a file does not match across Figma accounts on the same plan. Example screenshot attached. I can’t find the layers they have in their view-- they don’t exist on my end. I’ve thoroughly checked that they aren’t hidden and I have all permissions for the file. The issue persists when frames are exported and I haven’t yet seen these issues “expire” (persist >20mins)What’s going on? Is it a lag in the desktop app? How can we tell which view is the “truth?”  

I cannot figure out what to do with the local font issue not showing up on figma. I downloaded the font figma agent for browser. I try this on both desktop app in macOS and browser and cannot get it to work. None of my local fonts work. Can anyone help me? Are local fonts now limited to paid versions of the app??

Since updating Figma yesterday on macOS Sequoia 15.2, the app no longer works properly. Nothing displays, and even after clearing the cache and restarting, the issue persists. I completely uninstalled Figma using CleanMyMac and reinstalled it, but the app still takes an extremely long time to load. When it finally launches, my entire computer freezes.What can I do to fix this? Can you help?

Hello community, I need help with my styles. All the colour and typography styles on the Master Components file disappeared. The foundation file where all these styles are living is working well tho. My team mate wasn’t affect, apparently it’s just me. Can anyone help me fix it?

Me and my team is facing this issue where in Figma prototype screens, the pop-out options which comes when clicking on interaction type selector remains narrow. I have noticed that the narrowness is not random but rather dependent on the size of the object being prototypes.Here is how it looks like:Figma Interaction doesn’t open the pop-out window to it’s full widthIs this a bug or a glitch?

Hi,we changed from color styles to variables recently. We did this by creating a new library containing the variables and integrated a dark mode there. I manually exchanged all old color styles to the new variables out of the new library.When I want to switch the appearance to dark mode I see two options:I double checked that I don’t use any color styles out of the “Tokens (deprecated)” file. My components only use the new variables from the “Tokens” file. I actually don’t even understand why I can switch between “Light” and “Dark” within the “Tokens (deprecated)” set as there are NO variables in that file. To put it in a nutshell: There shouldn’t be two options to switch the appearance. Is that a (known) bug or did I miss something here?Thank you for your help :)Lucas

But I have an annual subscription, why did I receive this monthly invoice? Maybe there was some kind of error? The notice states that I will lose access to projects if I do not pay this invoice. Figma has a problem saving images

I am attempting to publish 2 font updates in my text styles. All I did was change the font from Inter to DM Sans for 2 items and it will not publish. These are only being used inside the Button component at the moment. 

Hello, I have some issues with you Figma.exe. So, in the latest windows with latest Figma, my Figma suddenly erased by itself after update the new version. I installed the .exe from official Figma and it’s says “The Microsoft Defender thought it’s not safe”.
