Hello Figma Community,

I'm encountering some strange rendering issues that I can't replicate within the Figma file itself. I've double-checked my settings, but these problems only appear after exporting or rendering the frames.

Issue 1: Unexpected White Border

I'm getting a thin, white border around some of my frames and components at the time of render. This border is not visible in the Figma canvas. It appears out of nowhere during the export process and is quite disruptive to the design.

Issue 2: Clip Content Not Working

I've also noticed that clip content is not working as expected. I have elements with a border radius, but during rendering, the content is not being clipped properly, resulting in sharp corners that should be rounded. This again is a rendering issue; the frames look correct in the Figma file.

Has anyone experienced similar problems? I'd appreciate any guidance on how to troubleshoot this or if it's a known bug.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @Sandeep Mattapalli ,

I understand you're experiencing an issue where the exported file from Figma looks different from what you see on the canvas.

Unexpected white borders

I’ve seen a few reports where this issue was caused by frames or elements being positioned or scaled using decimal values — for example, x = 0.5 or scaling at non-integer values like 1.25x.

You might want to try adjusting those values to whole numbers. This post might be helpful as a reference:

Border radius issue

I couldn’t find a known or ongoing issue that clearly matches this, so we may need to take a closer look at your specific file.

If the above steps don’t apply or don’t resolve the issue — or if you’re open to having us investigate the border radius issue further — we recommend submitting a support request via this secure form:Submit a request

In the form, please include:

  • A quick screen recording or screenshots showing the steps to export (please include the full Figma screen)
  • The URL of the affected file
  • The exported image file from the video steps

Thanks!
