Hi,

I wan’t to publish a private widget to my organization but I can’t find Organization name option, please refer to the attached screenshot.

I’m using organization and enterprise plan.

Thank you.

Hey @Chien Min,

So I understand you're looking to share your widget privately within an organization.

Do you happen to have another Figma account? I took a look on our backend, and I can see that your current account is on the Professional plan.

Could you double-check that you're logged into Figma using the account that has access to the Organization or Enterprise plan? This guide explains how to switch between accounts, just in case: Switch between accounts

Hope this helps clarify things.

Thanks,

I only have one figma account so I’m sure I login the right one

Do I must be admin to publish the private widget?

Hey @Chien Min ,
Working closely with Junko, happy to help!

I only have one figma account so I’m sure I login the right one

Do I must be admin to publish the private widget?

Yes, in order to publish a private widget within an Organization plan in Figma, you must be an admin.
For more information, please check our guide: Create private widgets for an organization.

Hope this clarifies!

Hey @Celine_ ,

I am an admin in my organization and still have this issue, can’t publish a private plugin nor widget.
Thanks.

Hey @Maria107 ,

Can you try first to follow the steps outlined in our article on how to Create private organization plugins to see if that helps?

When publishing a plugin, you can use the Publish to setting to choose whether to publish the plugin to the organization or the Community. Private plugins don't need to go through the review process before they are available to use.

  1. Open the file browser in the Figma desktop app. (Note: you can't publish private plugins from files outside the organization.)
  2. Click the Figma logo in the top-left corner and navigate to Plugins > Manage plugins.

  3. Find your plugin, click the ••• icon next to it, and select Publish.

  4. Complete any details in the Publish modal (including the name, icon, cover art, and description.)

  5. Select Organization name to share it privately with your organization.

  1. Click Publish to submit your plugin. The plugin will now be available to members of your organization.
Please keep in mind: guests won't be able to access install, or run private plugins.

Let me know how it goes! If you are still not available to publish your plugin, I’d recommend you to reach out directly to our support team for further investigation by filling out this form: Submit a bug report
Please make sure to use your Figma email account, a quick video recording when your try to publish it (if you can) and, the URL of the plugin so the support team can check in the backend. Thank you!

Yes, actually I tried our admin account and still encountered the same issue.
