Hi, I’m facing the same issue.

I’ve tried uploading multiple different .xlsx files for Bulk Create, but every time I get the error message “Failed to import file.”

Steps I’ve already tried:

  • Tested with one image only (to rule out file size).
  • Downsized all images to ~500 KB at 2000px and 1000px width.
  • Saved explicitly as Excel Workbook (.xlsx) (not CSV or older formats).
  • Made sure my sheet has only one header column: main_image.
  • Also tried placing images in cell instead of floating over cells.

Despite all of this, I still get the same “Failed to import file” error, even on the simplest one-image test.

Can you confirm if this is a known bug with Bulk Create right now, or if there’s an updated workaround?

Thanks!

Hi @Jayna Shah - first, I want to let you know that I saw your other responses on other topics, but I moved your most specific one into this new topic here.

Regarding the import issues -- I’m not aware of any recent changes or bugs that were brought up in this topic. Can you do the following?

  • Fill out this form -- when doing that:
    • Could you reproduce the behavior, and send over the console logs? Instructions how to do that here: Export console logs
    • Share edit access to the buzz file with support-share@figma.com (you won’t be charged for this)
      • Include the name of the buzz file and/or the URL of it directly
    • Attach a copy of any of the .xlsx file (saw your screenshot, but direct file would be best) -- I know you mentioned you tried multiple, but anything from your end will help test.

I’ll have our technical quality team review to see if there are any new bugs that may have popped up. Let me know when you’ done so. Thank you!

Hello @ksn,

Thank you so much for your prompt response to this matter.

I have submitted the request via the link you provided. I also tried accessing the console logs but I didnt see any option in the help panel for Toggle Developer Tools. My guess is that it has been restricted since its a work laptop.

I have attached my excel sheet along with screenshots and editing access to the email you provided. Please let me know if there is anything I can provide to resolve this matter.

Thank you once again for taking a look into this, really appreciate your help!

Thank you @Jayna Shah! I see you’re working with Yasu now, and I trust he’ll help get this situated for you 😁 Please continue to work with him via your ticket. If you have any other questions outside of this, feel free to create a new topic.
