I can't apply blending mode to a blurred layer blur object. If I try to apply blur to an object with blending mode, the blending disappears. Please help me figure it out.
My figma desktop app is not launching (shows “not responding”). I was using it just fine, when it gave me a update request pop-up. I clicked to update, for which Figma desktop shut and nothing happened. Ever since I’m not able to launch it. I have reinstalled it, still the same. I’m using Macbook Air M4 2025 16GB.
When copying and pasting, all Measures disappear. To create a design guide, I create a Measure in the UI built with the component and use theand copy-pasted it into the component-built UI, all of the Measures disappeared.😰They also disappeared when I copied and pasted a single component or a section containing components.I doubt Figma would release a feature without doing a simple QA.

I have a component (A) with variants that is used as a mask inside another component (B). In an instance of component B, if the variant of component A is changed, the mask is removed. However, if I change the variant of component A in the master component B, the mask remains intact.Request for Resolution: Can this be fixed so that the mask remains functional when changing the variant of a component that is used as a mask inside a component instance? The mask should remain when changing an instance regardless of whether it is inside an instance or in the master component.
I have deleted my first and only workspace in Figma. All my draft files were deleted too. How I can restore my files? I cannot see anything in the Trash tab just to restore anything. It’s empty. Can anyone help me?
After the version update, I can’t control the box’s corner radius on the right panel using my mouse(also laptop’s mouse pad too). And I could find another similar bug report here>Why does it happened? and why doesn’t figma fix it asap? There has been so many big and small bugs while UI update. I don’t know what purpose of this is. It feels like ruining usability in every possible way.
Here is a video explaining what is happening.
Hello. As soon as I became a student and got into the learning space, my “Drafts to move” folder disappeared on my account. I can't create Design File on my account or in the learning space. How do I get the Drafts to move folder back? So that I can create Design File in my drafts? My personal files can still be found in recent. The list of favorite files is missing from the left sidebar.
After restoring a previous version, all modification commands sent afterward are remembered as versions following the restored one, which makes it impossible for me to skip unwanted modification command versions.
What happensI have a Frame inside a Component, the Frame width is set to a variable (with some Modes). Now I change it to be filled. I change the section Mode. I change the section Mode back again. Now the Frame in the Component is set to the variable again, instead of fill. Expected behaviorWhen I change width from a variable to a fill it should not change, regardless of me changing the Mode of the Section. Work aroundSelect the frame. Change the width from a variable to a pixels first – this will disconnect the variable for real. Now change the width to fill. Done! The bug and work around recorded

Things I’ve tried to no avail:Opt+Cmd+C, Opt+Cmd+V Right-click an element > Copy/paste as > Copy Properties / Paste Properties Verified Chrome has access to clipboard Verified no Chrome extensions nor apps have conflicting keyboard shortcuts Verified keyboard layouts match between system & Figma Cleared Chrome cache MacOS restart Removed all chrome extensions Deleted and reinstalled Chrome Updated to Sequoia 15.3.2Copy/paste properties currently works:in Figma desktop app in SafariThis is driving me bonkers and killing my workflow 😖
I have been playing with Figma Sites recently, trying to get to grips with how it works.I created a Design separately that utilised component variables with Modes to allow for typography sizing between desktop and mobile variants. Once published, I can add the components to Sites (hero banner, content block etc) and switch between Desktop and Mobile variants with ease, HOWEVER, the type modes do not change. They appear to show up correctly on the Sites file, but when you come to ‘full preview’ or publish, the mode values are not applied!?It feels like possibly due to the way you need to build/design pages in Sites (desktop first, which IMO is odd) with a natural cascade down to mobile, there is a bug / conflict between setting an appearance mode on the desktop design and then trying to apply a different mode to the mobile breakpoint/design.I have tried a few work arounds - restarting, applying modes to both parent and sibling layers/components, clearing cache, but have had to result in
Hi,Situation: I have created an animated component set (text within a colored frame) where the only thing that should change is the color. What works: I can create an instance of this, re-size it smaller, prototype preview, and everything behaves as expected. What doesn't work: If I take the above instance, create a new component out of it, and create an instance of that, it seems that the sizing beyond the first variant of the original component set isn't respected. What I've tried: I’ve done a fair amount of research into this already and others have recommended applying autolayout and “hug” to the parent and child elements. How this worked out: I was able to get the colored frame from re-sizing, but for the life of me I can't get the text to stop re-sizing.Here's a screenshot of the component set (size_test-component_set), an instance of the component set nested in a new component (size_test-component), and an instance of that (size_test-instance). My post continues below this image:I p
I designed an app, created a case study on a different page about 5 months ago decided to check on it today to make some edits and my whole case study is gone. Please help! this is one of my biggest projects.
After publishing my site, the layout displays correctly on desktop browsers. However, when I access the site using my iPhone XR, the layout breaks and appears as the desktop version instead of the mobile version.Steps to Reproduce: Publish a site using Figma Sites. Open the site on an iPhone XR using Safari or Chrome. Observe that the page initially shows the correct mobile layout for a brief moment, then switches to the desktop layout. Expected Result:The site should consistently render the mobile layout on mobile devices.Actual Result:The site briefly shows the correct mobile layout, but then switches to the desktop layout, breaking the design on mobile.Additional Info: The issue appears only on my iPhone XR. Tested using browser developer tools (device simulator) — works fine. A friend tested the same site on their phone and didn’t encounter the issue. Suspect: device misidentification or viewport issue after initial load. Environment: Device: iPhone XR Browser: Safari (
Hi everyone, after the latest Figma update, the quality of my project exports to PNG or JPG has gotten worse. The images used to look perfect when exported at 1x. Now I have to export at least at 2x for them to have good quality, even though I'm setting the export options to High and Detailed. What could be happening?
Here is how Figma displays the Danish keyboard layout:Here’s the Danish layout on Wikipedia: https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fil:Keyboard_Layout_Danish.pngCan you spot the difference? Hint: $ is not placed beside 1 on a Danish QWERTY layout.Same issue is present on https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/5665442977431-Select-keyboard-layout

Hello! I have two issues to report Issue 1 Brief Description When switching a component instance to a different mode, the icon color resets to its default value. However, if both the instance and the master component are set to the same mode, the icon color displays correctly. Detailed Description 1.1 I created two icon components with variants for each icon (the names of the variants, layers, and icon colors are identical). 1.2 I created variables for the icon color and icon variant, and also created two modes, Mode 1 and Mode 2, to switch the color and variant. 1.3 I copied an instance of the icon component and applied variables for its color and variant. 1.4 When switching between Mode 1 and Mode 2 at the instance level, the icon color and variant switch correctly. 1.5 I created a button component, nested the icon component instance inside it, and applied variables to the icon instance. 1.6 I set Mode 1 for the master Button component. 1.7 I copied an instance of the Button componen
Even when frames share the same name, like ScrollFrame/1 and ScrollFrame/2, and the 'Reset scroll position' option is disabled, the scroll position still resets when navigating back with a back interaction from one webpage to another.
No matter what I search the same items always show up. When I change my search it shows a progress icon and the background is greyed out, but nothing changes(Side note, I also miss the big search bar in the middle of the screen for the community)
Greetings! As soon as I add an annotation to the frame/autolayout, all text styles break in this frame — they are reset.Text styles are stored in the library connected to the design file. I'm the only one with access to the design files and library. This problem is not always reproducible.UPD:I tried adding an annotation in another design file with the same attached library, but the problem repeats. There are no problems in the design library. Over the past few months, Figma has been shipping random small updates to the app. One includes the “new” undo system. It almost never does what it’s supposed to do which is UNDO the last thing i did. It usually undos 2 things instead of just one… This wasnt always the case. Like I said earlier they have been shipping a bunch of random stuff not just the new undo system. Another thing they broke which is almost equally annoying is the new “accessibility” UI interactions, where you can use the keyboard to interact with the sidebar. This functionality completely disregards keyboard shortcuts for designing though. You can click a button in the sidebar, go back to designing, press enter and wonder why its not selecting your design and come to find its activating the button you clicked earlier.
