Can't publish a library

I have a paid plan and my client has a paid plan. We have two files with the design system and design pages. I usually change components, publish the design system library, and work with these components in the design pages files. But now I can't publish it. Is it a new update or something? I'm invited as an external editor to the client's Figma, and today we tried to invite only me as an editor to his Figma. And it's still not working, even though the client paid for my full seat.

P.S. I can publish libraries on my own pro team

Hi @Slavkov VikTor

I understand you’re having some issues publishing your library.

I’m not entirely sure I understand your file setup and account configuration, but from what you described, it sounds like one of the following situations:

  1. You were invited as a guest to your client’s organization, and the file lives inside one of the teams in that organization: Members vs Guests

  2. You were invited to a connected project from an external team: Guide to connected projects

Either way, I recommend double-checking that you have edit access to the file and that you hold a full seat on the relevant team. Publish a library

Also, I noticed that you’ve already submitted a support request for this. Our Support team will reply once they’re ready, so please keep an eye on your ticket (#1586833) for their response.

When you have a moment, please share the file URL in your support ticket so our team can investigate this issue more effectively.

Thanks,

@Junko3 hi, thanks!
I figured this out, so yes, I was the editor of the whole project, and I had a full seat. And only one thing helped me publish a library: that's when the client gave me admin rights to his whole team. And it's so weird on so many levels. First, why doesn't Figma just write that on this screenshot and tell me this stuff about a paid user, how I shod to figure out this?

Second, why if I don't want to give a some random freelancer whole admin rights to my Figma, and I just want him to work with the design system and one file? And it worked previously, so it's really weird I think
