I am using the organisation edition. I had previously enabled two-factor authentication but later disabled it. Today, upon re-enabling it to publish a plugin, I received the following prompt: We detected a change to your account details. Please contact support@figma.com to proceed.
Bug! I have various design files open – I copied a link to go to a certain section of a file and the link would generate and take the person to a file I never copied the link to – private files!
Hi. I’m having an issue with a prototype that has up until very recently been fine (I’m therefore pretty sure it’s a Figma bug) but now when I open it, some of the text within instances of components switches intermittently to the default copy. It works fine if I open the prototype in a browser such as Safari but if I open the prototype within the Figma app it is an issue. Here’s a quick link to demonstrate : Thanks for your help,Rob.
I set some text to bold in my Figma site, but when I preview it or publish the page, the text doesn’t appear in bold. How can I fix this issue? Figma SitePreview
Hello,Many of our users at Cégep de Sainte-Foy — both students (1st, 2nd, and 3rd year) and teachers — are still unable to access their Figma Education license. Several accounts remain locked, even though verification was successfully completed in recent months. All affected users have re-submitted proof of eligibility (student ID and class schedule), but the problem persists. Please see attached screenshots showing the “locked” and “verification exceeded” messages. This situation is seriously blocking project progress, as teamwork within shared Figma files has become impossible. We teach in a French-language CEGEP in Canada, and this recurring issue is causing significant disruption. Would it be possible to streamline the authentication process by automatically verifying all users with an @csfoy.ca email address?Thank you for your help,Frédéric LacroixCégep de Sainte-Foy
Hello there team Figma,As a fan of advanced prototyping and heavy user of variables i access variable sheets quite frequently.currently to access variable sheets, i would have to:deselect all items and then click on the tune icon next to Variables in right penal ( The intuitive way).Or Press Clrt+K and then type “toggle Variable” or at least initials of it to then access the variable sheets (Geeks ways)Can’t we just have a key shortcut straight to it?How about Clrt+. (Period)?
Highlighted area is the issue I am facing, We don't see any colour swatches in tile mode which becomes difficult for us to use the colours from library, We have list view as well but that shows only in text format which isn’t an easier option to look/nagivate the colour panel. Every time we have to go to some other screen and look for similar reference colour we used in that screen and then come back to list view to choose the same colour from the list.Which makes this process lengthy and time consuming for me & my team.Let me know if in any way help/solution can be provided.Attached a screenshot for your reference (Red oulined box highlights the issue of colour swatches missing even after they are present in library)
I work with large formats, such as vertical banners for events. Many of these designs use large photos to fit the banner layout. I usually create a frame and change the fill to load a photo from my files. It rarely works. Most of the time, I get the error shown in the attached screenshot. This error is incredibly frustrating because it seriously affects my ability to deliver and the amount of time I spend on these projects. My method for processing an image and saving it as a JPG is always the same, and I use Photoshop for that.Could someone please explain why this error happens and if there’s another way to incorporate large images into my designs? It’s hard to believe that Figma would be so limited for such a common use of images.
My website is a black screen with an undefined tsx error. The website looks fine on figma but I have no clue how to get it back working again.
Hello. My name is Denis.I'm a student at Mykolaiv National Agrarian University.I'd like to take advantage of the student plan, which would be very helpful in my studies. I tried to do it myself, but I got errors several times. I already applied for a student discount in Google Gemini, and the Share ID verification was successful. However, when I tried to verify my Figma account, I had an error. Also, I have a document. I also have a document from Diya that confirms that I am a student. Can you help me with this?
Hello Figma,I’m a student at the University of California, Irvine. I’ve been stopped by SheerID’s verification process over and over, and I use Figma for school and work-- so this has been a pretty big issue. I entered all my details, but was told to retry until it said it exceeded. I filed a ticket with SheerID. SheerID closed my case, saying they “were unable to process the request.” There seems to be no other solution but to contact them. This loop has been quite irritating. Please reach out to me soon so I can quickly amend this issue.
It is convention in Windows for F2 to rename, but Figma does a kind of literal translation of the macOS cmd+R rename command in Windows. It’s a small thing, but given that it’s one of many programs in my suite, I am constantly pressing F2 in Figma and being surprised that it does nothing.I suggest that Figma for windows additionally respects F2.On a related note: The regex rename dialog when renaming multiple layers is pure genius.
Seemingly as of today’s update, pinned items within a project now only have a limited selection of actions available in their right-click context menu (Open, Create New Branch, Add to Sidebar, Remove Project Pin, Copy Link) but none of the others (Copy Link, Share, Duplicate, Show Version History, Rename, Move File, Move to Trash) even though those are in the menu if you find the original file. (i.e. it’s not a permissions problem removing those functions, they just aren’t in the menu for the pinned version) This appears to be the same in both the browser and in the desktop app. As part of our process, we create most new design files by duplicating a template file, which we keep pinned to the project so the team has easy access to it. With this update it’s no longer possible to duplicate (or do a bunch of other actions) from the pinned file, and instead you have to dig through the full list of files to find it in the general project list. Is there a reason this functionality was remove
My company launches a lot of user tests on a weekly basis and we are running into a lot of problems with scaling. If a user tester has a 4k screen, and our designs are in 1440, the user tester will see massive black bars on each side of their screen. We normally use “fit-width” to have the design stretch according to the user’s screen but it does not seem to work. When we create our prototypes in Axure, we do not have this issue as the Axure scaling will properly make the design fit the user’s screen. In the screenshot below, the design was 1440 and it also had the correct height on the artboard/frame to ensure that scaling would work. The end result was massive black bars when using a 4k screen. Is there a way to resolve this issue, or does Figma scaling not actually scale anything beyond the actual width of the design?
Somehow my Figma Make and Supabase for a project or 2 became out of sync. So I decided to make a new project in Supabase and follow all the instruction Figma said to make. I am unable to have Figma Make connect to the project. I was hoping perform an import which then would reset it all up, but that didn’t work either. Is there a way to start the from the beginning and let the imports handle the database stuff?

Its been a few weeks since stroke has been broken on Figma. My Colleagues at Duolingo are experiencing the same issue. Sometimes it works when you move the asset around to a different position on the figma canvas but its causing disruption to my work flow. Any help would be appreciated!
We’ve identified a bug related to how Figma handles overrides when switching between component variants in different orders.Specifically, when we first apply the variant where the dropdown is open, everything works correctly. But if we start with the dropdown closed variant and then switch to the open one, we run into issues:– The icon sometimes changes incorrectly– Occasionally, the button type also changesThis issue isn’t limited to dropdowns — we’ve seen the same pattern affect many other components in our system. The bug appears to be tied to how Figma manages overrides based on the order of variant switching. We’ve attached a video showing this behavior in action. Please investigate, as this makes it hard to maintain consistency in large design systems.
I have a project that I’ve been working on since August and after the most recent update it is gone. Not in my trash, not a draft, not archived, etc. I’ve already checked my deleted files and there’s nothing there.I am livid.
We’re updating our ORION design library to offer compacting modes. We’ve noticed an issue that seems to have been commented on here before (in threads that are now closed). Certain elements - really, just icons - seem to behave inconsistently when a compacting mode is applied. This appears to be true regardless of whether we apply a var to one dimension and lock the aspect ratio or we apply the var to both dimensions. We’ve checked our design system icons and can find no difference in the way they are drawn and structured. For our designers working in compact themes, this creates unwanted visual distortion, obviously. To illustrate:Normal modeCompact mode You can see in the compact example, the notifications and search icons have ignored the fixed aspect ratio, while the others have worked properly. Here are the sizing decisions on the icon...
Hi,I have been using a Figma student account, and recently I was logged out of the Desktop App and prompted to log back in. After re-verifying my student status, I noticed that all my files, projects, and teams appear to have been wiped. I no longer have access to any of my work, including drafts—it looks as though a completely new account has been created under the same email address. This is extremely concerning, as I’ve lost access to years of work. Please help me recover my original account and associated files. Here is a link to my Figma community profile, which is still live:Community Profile: https://www.figma.com/@prangan_kIf possible, could you also confirm which email address is associated with this profile? I can still view a few files in View Mode through this profile, so it seems to be linked to the work I’ve lost.Thank you for your assistance.
I am trying to publish a template in Figma Buzz, but there is no option to publish. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When I try to log into my Figma account, it's locked. I've followed all the required verification steps, including importing my school documents. But nothing happens; I'm still locked out.Thank you for your help !
"AI features are not available" is what i see when try using Make from Figma Sites code tools and actions
