Shift + Cmd + K not working

I’ve already restarted and force quitted Figma multiple times, restarted my device too, but for some reason the shortcut to place images (Shift + Cmd + K) is not working all of a sudden. I was in the middle of a workflow when this happened, and not sure how to go around this as this shortcut is an integral part of my workflow. It’s also the only shortcut that isn’t working for some reason.

macOS 26.2 (latest, up to date version)
M1 Macbook Air

I tried reproducing the issue on both browser and desktop app, and it’s working as expected on my end.

You are right, force-quitting (browser or desktop app) can sometimes help. As this doesn’t resolve it, could you try a different browser to see if the behavior persists?

If you're using the desktop app, please also check if your desktop app is updated by clicking in the top-right corner ‘Figma’ > Check for Updates…

  • Go to the Support Hub
  • Click Start a chat
  • Type “Report a bug” 
  • Please mention whether this happens in browser, desktop app, or both. Your device, OS version, and browser/app version.
