Unable to verify my Educator account – Previously approved in past years

Hello,

I am currently trying to verify my account under the Figma Education plan as an Educator, but my verification has not been approved.

I have previously been successfully verified in past years without any issues, and I am currently an active university professor.

Here are my details:

I have submitted:
    •    An official letter from my university (signed and on letterhead)
    •    A photo of my institutional ID
    •    Additional academic proof

Despite this, my verification has not gone through.

I rely on Figma Education for my university classes, and this issue is also affecting some of my students using the same institutional domain.

Could someone from the Education verification team please review my case or advise on what additional documentation may be required?

For educator and student verification, the review process is fully managed by our verification partner, SheerID. Because of that, Figma isn’t able to manually review documents or override eligibility decisions on our side.

When you reach out, I recommend including:

  • A brief timeline of your attempts

  • Confirmation that you’ve previously been verified in past years

  • Mention that other users on the same institutional domain may be experiencing issues

That additional context can sometimes help their team investigate more thoroughly. SheerID can clarify what’s happening and get this resolved quickly for you and your students.
