I recently set up my student account under the Figma Professional Plan. However, after accepting ownership of a FigJam file, I was unable to add a new page and received a prompt to upgrade to a Professional Plan.
It was my understanding that my student verification already granted me access to these professional features. Can you please review my account status and advise on how to resolve this discrepancy?

I completely und the confusion here. Please note that becoming a file owner does not automatically change the file's team. There is no inherited permissions from the new file ownership. Transferring ownership only changes who owns the file, not where it is stored.
It sounds like the file remains within its original team which is likely not your Student plan’s team. You need to have a Full or collab editing seat on this team in order to add a new page.
