URGENT: Recovering file from deleted account

I’ve seen this issue raised a couple times. I’m hoping to archive an old file despite the warnings against all data lost after closing an account being permanent. I transferred ownership of the file before closing it and now it’s gone.

I had two accounts. Account A – under an inactive email address but I kept this account open because it of the AI credits associated with it. I thought I could use them when trying Magic Animator but then had to buy credits anyways? So that’s another issue I’d like to get clarity on. Account B – is the secondary account that I closed.

My goal was to consolidate everything into Account A, eliminate Account B and update Account A’s email address.

Before closing Account B, I transferred ownership of a file to Account A. I saw the file appear in my Shared files in Account A, so I was under the impression that the transfer was successful. I then closed Account B.

After closing Account B:

  • The transferred file disappeared from Account A

  • A Lottie animation is no longer accessible

  • I’m now unable to update the email on Account A because the system indicates the closed account is still active??

I’ve submitted a support ticket but haven’t received a response yet. Given the number of moving pieces here it would be great to actually talk to someone and sort out some of these redundant billing charges.

Hey @Kaitlyn Quealy - I can’t Immediately speak to the credits purchase in relation to Magic Animator (assuming plugin, but please correct me if I am wrong), but I can try to see the status of your ticket.

Can you PM me the email address you reached out with? Since you mentioned 2 accounts (with one being under an inactive email), I’d like to check to see if I can find the report you’ve filed. I did a lookup using the email address your forum account is registered under, but did not have any results turn up.

Thank you for your patience!
