Hi everyone,I'm currently cleaning up and standardizing token mapping across our design system, and I've run into a variable/mode issue that I can't explain.I have an Accordion component that should be mapped exclusively to our Gifted variable collection.When I inspect the component and click into the variable bindings, everything appears correct. The variables are bound to the expected tokens within the Gifted collection.However, when I look at the Modes section in the right-hand panel, Figma shows that the component is also tied to the Common Components collection, which shouldn't be happening.What's confusing is that, after further investigation, it seems the issue may be related to a success state icon variable. The problem is:The Accordion component doesn't appear to have any success state icon variables in its variable assignments. The success state icon variable only exists in the Gifted collection. There isn't a corresponding success state icon variable in the Common Components

For context, all the components needs to be binding to “Whitelabel ONLY” variable collection only. The problem is as follows… - clicked on parts of the component that shows binding to three different collection to investigate what other wrong binding is in the mix - clicked each individual parts of the components to check for incorrect binding (in this case: component common and gifted only) - they all show that they are binding to the correct collection, which is Whitelabel ONLY  - I clicked out to the parent level, only to see that it still shows the incorrect bindings!  - so the problem is, i dont know which part is still binded to the wrong collection?!  because on individual level, they all show the correct binding, but when clicked together, it shows incorrect binding to three different collections   PLEASE HELP, I need to handle three different component binding collections cleanly, multiplied the above situation is driving me crazy!   

Hi, I’m trying to recover some screens that were created by the Figma Agent and later deleted during the same Agent workflow.I asked the Agent to analyze an existing user flow, identify navigation/path issues, and create the missing or corrected screens needed to fix those issues.The Agent successfully generated several screens directly in my Figma file. I saw the screens on the canvas and they contained work that I need to recover.However, while continuing to work with the Agent, those screens were subsequently deleted/removed by the Agent.I tried using Version History to restore an earlier state of the file, but the generated screens do not appear in any of the available versions. I cannot find a version corresponding to the moment when those screens existed on the canvas.Is there any separate history, log, checkpoint, or recovery mechanism for changes made by the Figma Agent?In particular, I would like to know whether it is possible to:recover objects/screens created and subsequentl

Hey Figma Team, First off thank you for making this software available for students at universities around the world. I am reaching out because I am noticing an alarming trend with my students at the University of Michigan here in Ann Arbor. I teach multiple classes both at the undergraduate and graduate level and about ¼ of all of my students who are signing up for the first time are experiencing issues with SheerID’s verification process. They get caught in a loop. It’s the same problem and I can confirm that students are using their umich email address. Is this a new vendor? I don’t remember seeing this many issues when I have taught UX and AI classes in the past. This has affected 150+ students out of the 1000+ who study UX, CS, and AI design here on campus in Ann Arbor. I wish your team the best. We have found a few work arounds with the demo/free version, but I would love to continue to preach the wonders of Figma and give students full access. Cheers, Jim

I don’t know if this is a bug or simply a feature I don’t get: Shadows look completely different when applied to a shape with a fill vs. an auto layout of the same dimensions with the same fill. Even stranger, when clip content is applied to the auto layout the shadow looks the same as it does on the shape.Is there anything I can do to ensure a shadow renders the same whether or not it is applied to a shape, a frame or other object? And what’s with the clip content difference? I would have expected the shadow to look different with clip content enabled, not the other way around.I’d be much obliged if anyone could enlighten me.

I am 12 student I like ui and ux designing so I use figma more .then I came to know that free policy for students so I am Willing to use that policy as a student but I can't find out my school in verification page but I am a student due to it . I am unable to complete the student verification process. So please help me to login . 

Hello,I did a major update on my design system and library file (changed the value of all the color variable and change the main typography), I published the 2000+ changes, I updated the children files and… nothing or nearly nothing.Some color are upgraded but not completely, buttons have the old color and old typo, checkboxes have the old color and so on.The components are OK and the files correctly linked, if I change the color of an instance and change it back, the correct color is displayed so the library is definitely updated.Same for the instances, if I change one property and rollback, or reset the instance, it’s good.I tried closing files, closing Figma, closing and reset Figma via the help menu, nothing works.Maybe it’s linked to instances with nested properties as those properties don’t update neither, but I’m not even sure.Obviously I can’t edit all the elements trough all my files one by one, and there is not “force update” button. Just fix slots! The slot feature doesn’t behave properly when switching variants: around 90–100% of the content from the other variant simply disappears.

It looks like font file versions are not accurately reflected under Resources → Fonts.For example, after being uploaded to Figma, Geist v1.7.2 appears in Figma as Geist 1.800 (rounded number).Thanks for fixing this!

Hi, the figma cursor used to be small and neat. In the past few days it has suddenly grown much bigger and it glitches in the middle of work switching back to the original smaller size, and growing again when moved or used for an action. Any idea why this is happening?

I’m currently working on custom box layouts and product packaging designs for client projects (specifically inspired by structural dieline standards from sites like https://zeepackaging.com/.While Figma is amazing for UI/UX, I’m running into a workflow issue when preparing print-ready dielines for manufacturing: CMYK & Spot Color Export: Figma natively exports in RGB, which causes color shifting when sent to commercial packaging printers. How are you handling CMYK conversion without destroying component styles? Bleed & Trim Lines Setup: What is the best practice for setting up bleed boundaries (3mm/0.125") and fold/score lines inside Figma components so they don't get displaced during auto-layout adjustments? Vector Precision for Dielines: Is it better to draw cut/crease lines directly in Figma or import vector dielines via SVG from Illustrator? If anyone has an efficient workflow or plugin recommendation for packaging design export in Figma, I’d love to hear your insights!

Hi Figma team,Since September 1, images have stopped displaying when using Figma Mirror on mobile devices.Frames, text, shapes, and other UI elements are displayed normally, but image assets are completely missing in Mirror.What I've tested:Regular JPEG images do not display. The issue occurs across different Figma files. I tested it on my phone and my colleague tested it on a different phone — both have the same issue. Text, shapes, and other UI elements display normally. The images display correctly in the Figma design file itself.Expected behavior:Images should display normally in Figma Mirror along with the rest of the frame.Actual behavior:The frame is mirrored correctly, but all image assets are missing.This issue has persisted since September 1 and is reproducible on multiple mobile devices.Is this a known issue with Figma Mirror's image rendering or asset loading?Thanks!

Hi everyone,I permanently deleted some files in Figma trash, but I also want to make sure that these files are deleted from the Figma server.I don’t know if permanently deleted files in trash means that these files are also deleted from the server? Or the files are still stored on the server?I’ve attempted to contact Figma team by submit a support request as ticket(#2095775) through AI support chat. But it’s been a week, I haven’t received any reply email. Is there a better way to contact related team to solve my request?

Problem: Figma does not appear in the Plugin directory in ChatGPT web or the desktop app. The search returns no results. The official Figma plugin page shows “Add plugin.” When I select it, I get this error: “We couldn't load this plugin right now. Please try again in a bit.” The problem occurred on August 31 and September 1, 2026.

Hi, I recently upgraded my account (redacted by the moderator due to PII) to a Professional plan with a Full seat. Before upgrading, I hit the API rate limit on the free Starter plan, and now I have a ~3.8 day cooldown on my account.I've already sent an email to support@figma.com but wanted to also post here. Until recently, the process worked smoothly, and we are grateful that our students can benefit from this opportunity. However, students included in our latest submissions have reported that their accounts have not yet been upgraded. We submitted the forms on June 5, July 9, and August 14, but the verification process for these students does not appear to have been completed.We understand that your team may be handling a high volume of requests. We did not intend to add these paid monthly seats.Could you please confirm the following? Which user accounts or email addresses were assigned the two billed monthly Full seats?
