Right, so I have thing thing where I want to use variables and conditionals to use in a prototype where a user would select:0 checkboxes and then select Button and get error message saying you need to agree to both checkboxes 1 checkbox and get error message saying you need to agree to both checkboxes 1 checkbox (the other one) and get error message saying you need to agree to both checkboxes 2 checkboxes and then move on to checkout flow The checkboxes should be easy to toggle between active/inactive.When the button is selected and the error message appears, I need the checkboxes to show error (red outline) if inactive. Anyone done this or seen a tutorial on it? I tried so many different things in Figma, did it in Axure in 10 minutes and ended up drinking  whiskey instead. Thank you in advance for your time.   

All of a sudden any component I drag from the assets menu or choose from a plug in like MaterialUI disappears as soon as it hits my canvas. I can see the bounding box of the frame highlighted in purple, but there is no content inside. I also can’t copy/paste anything into the file. I’ve tested on desktop and web multiple, and it persists. The kicker is that this is only happening in one file. Is there some kind of weird setting I accidentally enabled with an accidental keyboard shortcut? I’m so confused and also now literally can’t do my work…. Thanks!

I’m working on a mod for a game. The file allows to swap inventory icons for ammunition and edit them to the user’s liking. Now, i’m new to Figma and this is all a trial and error kinda learning, so far i could do everything i wanted precisely how i wanted.I’ve hit a wall which is technically only a minor inconvenience: I have a component with “bullet tips”, each variant is just one bullet tip. I have another component which are whole “bullet cartridges”, and each variant has between 1 and 3 bullets in it. Each bullet (a separate group within a component) has a nested instance for bullet tip swap, so the “cartridges” component variants have 1-3 nested instances of “bullet tips”The cartridge is then nested in the final “ammo box” instance that has all of the nested components swaps listed.Now the problem i have is that the nested instance swap shows 1-3 bullet tip swaps based on the number of bullets of course. Is there a way for multiple users to test an unpublished widget? I'm developing a game widget for FigJam and I need to test the multiplayer aspect of it; however, the widget isn't ready to be published to the larger community/made public. 

Is there a limit to how many nodes that can be retrieved from the https://www.figma.com/developers/api#get-images-endpoint endpoint?

I could only find one similar query and it was auto-closed with no answers. I have cloned a library and I’m swapping a file to that library so I can test component changes non-destructively. It is a straight clone, no changes at all have yet been made. Not to naming, position, theme, anything. Several components are not found after swapping the library. I can find them myself in the file, they exist and are named as expected, but the built in swap insists they do not. This is clearly a bug, has anyone found a way around it?

Hey All, I am new to figma and i am struggling with the smart animation prototyping. When frames are previewed separately it will show properly but if i put that frame in any mobile device frame, when i click preview, the screen goes black and animation attach top of the device. I attached the preview of it. Anyone can help me what may be the issue and how to resolve it? Greatly appreciate your help here 😊 

Hello everyone! I’ve encountered a very annoying bug that has made it almost impossible to work in Figma.   As you can see here, if I select a text element and another element, using the shift and release the shift button, it duplicates the text and deselects the elements i wanted to group. Curiously, rectangle or any other drawn elements do not duplicate when selected, and there is a work-around by selecting two elements by dragging your coursor, but it is not a realisting fix in any scenario. It is only an issue on my Macbook Pro M2, as my other laptop (Macbook Pro Intel) doesn’t seem to have this bug.  I would be very grateful for any tips and suggestions!

I want to apply a blend mode to a blurred object, but when I blur it, the blend mode disappears. There was no such thing in the old versions. Hi Folks, Thanks in advance for helping out. I’m super happy with the newly released Figma slides. It perfectly integrates with what we need and it works like a charm. We are using some glass effects in our deck, which are built with blur effect. However when exporting to PDF, they are transparant again. Who knows what to do?

Hi all!I am trying to set up a small variable system with responsive behavior for my team. The feature with the adaptive modes is really interesting.In this example, I am trying to add padding to the desktop 'Infocard'. As you can see, it works within the frames, so no matter where I drop the component, Figma automatically uses the correct component instance.The problem: In the Infocard component itself, I can assign the correct mode to each instance via the Appearance panel, but this breaks the automatic ‘drag-and-drop’ functionality.  Variables. Hello ​@Celine_Figma Thanks for the clarifications. Much appreciated.I have a question. I manually uploaded an image to a Figma file. After selecting the uploaded image, I noticed that clicking on the image name(image.png in this case) in the right panel of the Figma UI (refer to the attached screenshot) opens the image in a new tab.The URL of this image (opened in the new tab) is accessible without requiring login. Does this mean that images uploaded to Figma are publicly accessible? Or, Am I missing anything here?   

I’m trying to assign a variable to a component instance so that I can switch instances when clicking. I’m trying to learn how to use variables to create a less intensive way to setup prototypes that have a lot of ‘buttons’ that switch between content. With the screenshot I’ll share, I have it manually rigged up so clicking the pill button on the left panel changes it’s state to selected, makes the clicked pill become selected, and changes the content panel on the right with the related text.I looked over a few videos and I feel like I could could be done similarly to what’s done in this video, where clicking the color box changes the selected alien character. Just replacing the color box with my pill buttons and the alien with my text. But I’m having trouble seeing how to easily assign the variable to my selection.How might I be able to do this without manually rigging up a ton of prototype connections?

Howdy, I’ve been running into an issue/bug where components that have variant properties which are bound to a variable with multiple modes are not rendering correctly on load or after edits. This seems to happen most often with instances of components that have multiple levels of nested components. It’s a pretty specific use case, but I happen to run into it frequently. You can see this here. Upon opening the design file, often the instance nested components fail to render properly. (in this example, the numbers in the colored boxes in the instance section often do not appear until you select them). Also, if you change the color of the text in the “content” component, it fails to update correctly in all of the instances below. I can’t update it.I have a problem where the text in the component and its instances doesn’t update when I change the font weight in the text styles.styles does not update to reflect changes made to the component. Steps: - I created a button component, and the text in the button uses text styles- The font in the text styles is linked to a variable Issue:When I change the font weight in the text styles, the button text in both the component and its instances doesn’t update.Note: this issue only happen when the font is linked to a variable. Figma file here

Hi there, i am super curious about the Figma AI features. I am waiting for the features for a few months now also get the Figma AI features (even created multiple accounts increase the chance to get access).  Is there something or a website to sign up for some kind of beta beta version of Figma AI.
