Billing Problems with no clear subscriptions plans

I only wanted to use FigJam, and I thought upgrading to Pro would apply just to my own account. Instead, I’m now being told I have to pay €192 before I can downgrade again. This is very frustrating, and the invoice calculations are not clearly explained.

I hope Figma improves this process, because transparency and clear communication are essential for a user-friendly subscription service.

Could someone please help me understand these charges and fix this issue? Transparent and clear communication is important, and I hope Figma can assist me with this.

Hey @Matthias Gutsch — thanks for checking in and for laying out what’s been confusing here with only wanting to use FigJam. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and I’ll make sure this feedback gets in front of the right team.

I’m not able to view or share account-specific billing details, but from what you’ve described, it sounds like the upgrade may have added you to a seat on an annual subscription. These resources help explain how annual seats work and why you may be seeing this charge:

I can also see that you have a ticket open with our Product Support team. They’ll be able to look directly at your billing activity and sort out the details. Your case number is: 1636102, and I’ve shared your post with them so they have the full context while they work through it.

Thanks again for your patience — they’ll follow up at the email address tied to your Figma account with next steps as soon as they can.

Please cancel this invoice, as I have never used this functionality. I would like to downgrade my plan and use it without Figma Make, FigJam, or other add-ons.

What I don’t understand is why I am being charged $192 per month. A full subscription at this price is extremely costly and not sustainable for a designer. Once again, the subscription process is not clear to me and what is included. In addition, I have already paid an annual subscription of €43. So I don’t understand why there is also an additional monthly charge of €192. This seems inconsistent and unclear.

The user experience should be clear, and users shouldn’t need to take courses or training just to understand Figma’s subscription options or additional information. From my point of view, this should be straightforward and easy to navigate.
