Smart Animate Button Radius "dissolves"

Hi! I can’t seem to smart animate my button radius to the way i want it. i decided to throw in a test button and it works perfectly like i wanted. my main button animates like it “dissolves” into the hover state. whereas the test button is animating properly. any idea how i should fix this?
