I often use constraints option when I work with my design but now with the new beta UI Figma I didn’t find it now It’s hard to make my design responsive without having to option this, not only hard, it’s impossible without having that, why are you taking it away?, I prefer the old Ui Figma when you come across to change your UI just don’t take away features.

Hello dear Figma team, I have been using Figma with my partner for many years. My previous partner stopped using Figma and we had to pay $40 and the payment was late.Then he left the team. I cancelled my plan and re-activated it but it still asks for $40. It is expensive for me. Please help me to continue by paying only $20.

Hey I just started to use the figma site and the engineer on my team want to be able to assess the dev mode on it.Eventho i already granted him the “editor” permissions.still he can not find the dev mode option on the site.Does anyone has the same issues?

Hi, I was going to build small site for an Advisery client, so nothing too content heavy or CMS reliant. I know Figma and a little bit of Framer. Framer doesn’t give me any option to host on Serversaurus which I need to do. Can I do this if I build in Framer Sites or is Framer Sites self-hosting as well?Also concerned that Framer Sites is so new it may not be reliable enough for what I need. This is an example of the type of site I need to build from a content perspective https://www.creativeclimate.org.au/I am a designer with limited coding knowledge and a budget under $5K. cheers.

I have a library with several components made up of smaller components. Those smaller components should never be used on their own. I want to make my library available to another team but I don’t want the sub-components available. Here is an example: I have a chart legend that I use with three different chart components. I want the user to be able to add a chart component to the page but I don’t want them to be able to add just a legend component to the page. I want the legend to be a component for me so that when I update the look, I don’t have to go update all 3 chart components. If I leave the legend component accessible, I know some non-designer will try to misuse it and stick it on a page as some kind of fancy list or something. 

I’ve created separate collections for alias colors and component colors. Within the Alias Colors I have both Light and Dark Modes.When I try to apply the dark mode alias colors to the dark mode component, I can only see the Light Mode colors from the dropdown.This is new behavior. Earlier this week, figma was recognizing that I was in a dark mode column for the component variables and applying the corresponding dark mode alias color. Has anyone encountered this?  Is this a bug?   

Ayuda, se eliminó de forma inesperada una archivo. Al entrar al link me sale lo siguiente: Es posible que este archivo se haya eliminado movido o no esté disponible. Es de mi propiedad pero nunca lo eliminé, tampoco esta en archivos eliminados. Es un archivo de la universidad, necesito recuperarlo, nadie del equipo lo borro.

 The old one without presuare adjustment was pretty, but new is sharpness and unconfortable. 😣new😀old 

Hi there, I’ve got an issue with fonts in our organization. We had some fonts that had issues with their metadata as shared fonts, so we replaced them with new fonts with the same name & style but fixed the metadata (inherent font weight, bold, italic etc). But after replacing i’m getting the missing font prompt in a lot of files, and i’m unable to select the font to replace with as well. This effectively renders every text unusable as i can’t edit the text unless i change to a random font. Tried reverting as well in organization fonts to the old fonts with the wrong metadat but that made it even worse and every file got the missing font prompt. This is quite a serious issue and I don’t know how to resolve it?

I have new user.She is not showing up in my team and billing group, yet I cant add her because I'm told she's already in.Therefore she cant edit og make new files 

Hi, I'm a student and I paid money for Pegma and received a study permit to use Pegma for free for students. Can I cancel the payment and use the student permit for free?

Thinking of prototyping specifically. Just to be clear - I’m looking for something that does what you intend to achieve, rather than not doing what you intend to achieve. For example, if I put one animation inside another, I’m looking for one animation to be inside another, as oppposed to one animation NOT being inside another. Sort of like the prototyping equivalent of a caclulator that divides when you select the divide button, or a car that turns on when you press the on button. Does that make sense? So, something that works as opposed to being a soggy baguette.

I’m confused as to why figma is telling me I can’t edit or move this file. I created it. I own it. I’m logged in with my only Figma account. I pay $$$ monthly. There is no clear explanation/reason for view only permission level.

Uso mucho esa parte de Figma para estudiar y preparar exámenes (especialmente para practicar parciales), y desde que se actualizó me está resultando muy difícil usarla. Antes podía escribir con lápiz y moverme con los dedos sin problema. Ahora el sistema confunde mis dedos con el lápiz, y termina escribiendo cosas que no quiero o seleccionando todo sin querer. También cambió el trazo del lápiz, y no para mejor. Antes era claro y simple, perfecto para escribir números y letras. Ahora se siente como si dependiera de la presión, y a veces no se ven bien las letras que escribo (una E, por ejemplo, aparece incompleta). En lo personal, esta actualización me está complicando mucho, justo ahora que estoy en época de finales. ¿Hay alguna forma de volver a la versión anterior de FigJam para escritorio? O al menos desactivar lo del trazo por presión y que no reconozca

We are a small organisation on the Figma team plan. We have two design libraries at present that serve different device types that need to be merged into one. I’ll give an example to help.Example:In two separate design systems I have a button, one design system houses the button for iOS devices and one design system houses the buttons for Web. I want to combine my design systems and have one single button style that applies to both iOS and Web.  Is there a way to do this without needing to replace all of the instances of the button component in one set of my files? There are thousands of instances at this point and it would take me a silly amount of time to do it manually.(Also a note in case it’s relevant - none of my components currently use variables)

Hey everyone,I’m hoping someone here has been in a similar situation or might know what I can do.A few years ago I used Figma all the time with a student license. I saved a ton of projects on that account — many of which are important and I’d really like to access again.I stopped using it for a while, and now that I logged back in, I realized my student license expired and Figma’s free plan now only allows 1 project with up to 3 files.Everything else is locked.I can’t even view or export anything. To unlock the account I have to pay the $20/month Pro plan — just to get access to my own work.Honestly, this feels super unfair. The free version wasn’t this limited back when I was using it. And now with Adobe being crazy expensive too, it sucks that I need to pay another €20/month just to rescue my old projects.Is there any way I can access or transfer my files without paying? Li

Hi team,I’m Prakash Hinduja from Geneva, Switzerland (Swiss) running into a problem in Figma where I’m unable to move or edit a component — it seems to be locked or restricted in some way. I’ve checked the layer panel, but it’s not clearly marked as locked, and I’m not sure if it’s due to being an instance, part of a master component, or something else like Auto Layout constraints. RegardsPrakash Hinduja Geneva, Switzerland (Swiss)

I am trying to create an instance swap on Figma on my iPad (in browser) I’ve tried several browsers and the behaviour is always the same. I select the piece of the component I want to instance swap (a chevron pointing down) and select the create instance swap property button. The popup appears and I can name or switch the instance but when I click to add a preferred instance to swap with the window closes with nothing having happened. The same is true when I click “Create Property” closes with nothing having happened. I also tried creating the property from the top level component and a similar issue occurs. I can name the property but when I click the “Pick an instance” button, the menu opens to pick one but clicking a component to use as an instance just closes the menu without having done anything. And you can’t create the property from this window without having picked an instance first. The instances I want to be able to swap are made from two chevron components.

Hey guys,When you PREVIEW a screen, in the past (and randomly nowaday as well), it was possible to cycle through the pages with the arrow keys, without having to PREVIEW a screen each time. You would simply hit RIGHT or LEFT and you would preview the next and previous pages.Why doesn’t it work anymore? I mean it works sometimes, but it’s very random. In the past it used to work all the time, now it works, but only sometimes. For example yesterday it was working, today it isn’t.
