Hi everyone,
I’m currently working with Figma Sites and I’m trying to find the best workflow for client presentations and feedback.
When I share a prototype from a regular Figma Design file, the client can:
-
view the project in preview/prototype mode
-
navigate through the pages
-
leave comments directly on the design
However, when I use Figma Sites, I’m a bit confused about the sharing workflow.
My questions are:
-
Is there a way to share a Figma Sites project with a client so they can view it in preview mode without needing the published
.figma.sitelink? -
Or is publishing the site currently the only way for clients to experience the project like a real website?
Also, from what I understand:
-
when sharing the published Figma Sites link, the client cannot leave comments directly on the live/preview experience
-
while comments are only available through the Design/Prototype file
Is that correct, or is there another workflow I might be missing?
At the moment it feels like I need to maintain:
-
a Figma Design file for comments and feedback
-
and a separate Figma Sites file for animations and live presentation
I’d love to know the recommended workflow from others using Figma Sites with clients.
Thanks in advance!
