When using the new "Lock Aspect Ratio" feature and adjusting an element’s size using the Ctrl + Arrow shortcut, the resizing behavior is inconsistent and unstable. The size increments/decrements in an unexpected pattern, and the element’s position also shifts unintentionally.Steps to Reproduce:Select a rectangle (or any element) in Figma. Enable the "Lock Aspect Ratio" feature. Use the Ctrl + Arrow (Left/Right/Up/Down) shortcut to adjust the element's size. Observe: The size does not increase/decrease smoothly. Initially, the size changes by 0.5px for 5-6 steps. Then, it starts breaking into irregular decimal values (e.g., 0.49px, 0.48px, etc.). The position of the element also changes, shifting towards the direction of the arrow key pressed. If the element is positioned at the edge of an artboard, it moves slightly instead of just resizing. Hi Figma, A file on my account is unavailable. I keep refreshing and searching but I get the error message that it’s either it’s unavailable or deleted but I only have access to it and it wasn’t deleted.  

I came up with an idea using Set variable in Interaction to swap background color of a button. Although I have both enabled and pressed color of the background, the value field are not currently supporting tokens in the Value field. It there a way we can avoid building a component set with enabled, hover and pressed, but to use variables to control? 

Hi everyone 👋I'm working on a large scale design system with hundreds of components, each containing multiple variants. In my design files, I use many of these variants across different pages. Before handing off my file to the development team, I want to identify exactly which variants from which components are being used throughout the design  and which ones are not used.My goal is to: Generate a list of all used component variants across the entire Figma file. Use that list to clean up unused variants, so I can simplify the file or create a lightweight version for handoff. Ideally, this should cover multiple components, not just one. I’ve tried searching for plugins that do this automatically, but I couldn’t find one that scans all components in a file and lists their used variant combinations.Has anyone come across a plugin that does this?Or would anyone be interested in building one? I think it would be a huge help for designers managing big design systems.Thanks in advance! �

We are reading font tokens with a script. Most is working well as expected. We just have one strange situation where the Bariol 700 font weight is arriving mostly as 400 but in one case also as 500.   All other fonts in this same document, Roboto, Bree Serif, are imported correctly.  This post reported a similar issue but also suggests that it was fixed. I’m not sure if there’s something with the setup of the Figma file itself.

hello! I was testing out a set up in a Figma file and I was wondering about a scenario where a component was updated in the Figma Design System library file by a designer, how would those changes be carried over to developers? Is there a specific command developers can run to pull the changes and update their code, or would they have to do this manually?The pipeline from connecting a component from code to design works just fine, so long as you don't have the file made yet. But once the file exists and for example a designer adds another set of variants to the code, then the generated code isn't updated anymore.To explicitly spell out what I was doing:I used the existing Simple Design System file from Figma Community and followed the steps laid out in the Code Connect docs. I also cloned the figma/sds Github repo to follow along the code aspect and had the React files just ready. I ran figma connect create with the Button component and it was successful; it created the Button.figma.tsx

Hello everyone! It used to be that I could select a frame or section, and the “mark ready for dev” option would be in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.However now I cannot find the option to “mark ready for dev” anywhere in the interface. Where has it gone to? Where is it hiding? Please send help my devs are waiting.

I swear this used to work, i have all my icons created as components with 2 variants of different sizing. I used to be able to select all and tab in order to select all the small icons, but now it seems I can’t:I try to tab but nothing happens..

There is an issue with text loading in the correct size in both Safari and Chrome for a published website. The text always loads at its smallest size. To recreate:> Start a new SITE> Pick a template (for example “Simple Wedding”)> Publish the site> Open in browser on desktop/laptop All text with multiple styles will display at the smallest size (mobile)TO FIX - you must drag your browser window to a small(set) size, and then to largest size to see the next displayed correctly. Refreshing the page forces the text to the wrong size againThis makes sites unusable as text sizing is not displaying correctly across breakpoints

I want to move 01. Type above 02. Name, but there’s no edit option or drag icon. 

Just wanted to call out that the Corner Radius settings were not being applied to the other breakpoints for some reason.  

Yesterday I had a big problem with Figma, it simply broke all the flows that had already been made. I had also previously used the Html to Design plugin. But even redoing the prototyping flows it continued to break and turn off flows. 

I use Android tablet in Figjam, and when I need to erase a text, it's impossible because the delete button doesn't work, but if I connect the tablet keyboard, the delete button on keyboard work.

 Hello, I’ve been a college professor for a long time and have been using Figma’s educational plan for my classes for a long time as well without any issues. Out of the blue today I got an email stating that my educational plan will expire in 4 weeks. I clicked on the get verified button once again on the figma website and got this.   I went back into my files and looks like nothing has changed. Should I get a confirmation email stating everything is ok or do I need to do anything else?  Right now I have four teams under the educational plan and I plan on adding a 5th. I doubled checked everything and it all looks good for now. I’m teaching a figma based summer class in two weeks and I want to make sure everything is good to go or if i’m missing something.  BTW I related this to education@figma.com as well.  I just would like any reassurance that what I have done is good and I don’t need to worry about it or if there is something else I need to do i’m directed in the right direction.

Icon stroke width behaves as expected inside the button (it scales with the canvas). However, as soon as it’s turned into a component and the icon is swapped, the stroke resets to a default value of 2px. The frame size behaves as expected. Icon is resized using scale tool. Problem appears both ways: – creating button from scratch (works), make is a component (does not work). – creating button component with same anatomy from scratch (does not work). Detach the same component (works). Creating different sizes with variants for each icon is not an option due to the extensive icon library. Is this a bug, or what could be causing this issue?

I was attempting to set-up 2-step auth for my figma account via Authy authenticator app and was unable to scan qr code entirely or use the input string to generate a code that worked to link my account to Authy. I reverted to mobile SMS 2-step auth for now.

Hi,I'm trying out Figma sites. Looks very promising. It's nice to finally bring a design to life myself. It won't be long before it feels like you're saving a PDF from Indesign.What I'm running into quite quickly is setting a background pattern on top of a solid color. I use a SVG as a component for this, but at that moment the preview goes black. In edit mode it looks fine.Any suggestions? Best regards,Aran
