AI features missing

Hi Georgi, Celine from Figma here, happy to clarify!

If you have a Full seat but your team is still on a free (Starter)/ Education plan, most AI features and settings will not be enabled for users who are a part of an Education plan,  including some AI options in Actions. Access to AI tools depends on both the seat type and the plan type.That said, Figma Make is available to higher education and bootcamp users.

However, to use AI tools directly in Figma Design for example, you’ll need to be on a paid plan with a Full seat.

But i have “Professional” next to my team’s name. 

What else should i do in my current situation so i have all the features ? 

Thanks for the screenshot! Since this team is on a paid Professional plan (and not an Education plan), you should have access to Figma AI features as long as you’re on a Full seat, as AI tools are available on paid plans.

To double-check, could you confirm whether you’re trying to access the AI features in Figma Design? If so, are you able to see them there?

No i actually can’t see the AI Features in Actions. Thats why i posted here. I hope this screenshot helps.

I think I have similar issues. I have the actions button but no ai features. I am on a paid pro account 

Hi, ​@Kunle.svg - thanks for your post. I’m sure this is confusing for you at this point since you have the Professional plan.

Is the file from your screenshot part of the upgraded team or a free team? It’s not uncommon for someone to be on more than one team and to have a different seat on different plans. Also, do you see the left nav bar in Figma Design? It will have icons for File, Agents, Assets, etc. There are two ways to access the agent for AI features. One is to click on “Agents” in the left hand nav bar, and the other is to click blue icon that shows to the top right of a layer when you select it. Both are shown in our help article on working with the Figma agent in design files.

I’m using the professional account. There’s only one project in it 

I do no have side bars and nothing works!

I completely understand the confusion here. Just to clarify: as of May 20, 2026, the Figma Agent is the new home for AI tools like First Draft, so the Actions menu may look different than you remember.

That said, could you try searching for other AI tools in the Actions menu? Make an image, Remove background, Boost resolution, etc. This will help us figure out whether this is specific to your Figma Agent beta access or whether AI tools more broadly aren't showing up for you.

Please let us know, so we can continue to investigate further.

It’s really strange how I don’t have the sidebar and no ai features. I just need the simple ai features I had before agents were introduced. Simple things like renaming frames, replacing contents are all removed for me.

This is definitely odd. Is this file is within your Pro plan’s team?

To clarify, AI tool access is not Account based. The file must be within the team associated with your Professional plan. If this file is within your Pro plan team, we may need to connect you with our support team to see what’s happening on the back end.
