Randomly, and without any sense or oder, I will have my objects in my Figma Slides just completely bug out and push to the edge of the screen. Here is an example - originally I had everything with a 48px border around the edge of the screen. I have no idea what I did - I just went into my file and scrolled through the slides, and when I came back to this slide, nearly everything had shifted. Before, this looks fine. This has a 48px gap between content and edge. After, without warning, random elements are shoved to the edge of the screen. It seems with or without auto-layout, the components just move by themselves It seems with or without a layout guide, the components will just move by themselves It happens to random slides, without reason. It can be a slide I was just looking at, or a slide I was not looking at for a while - it just happens.  It’s causing me to do a lot of extra work to reclean the slides back to how they were.  Then I have to triple check the slides to ensure it look

Check design is a great new featured, we’ve all missed applying a style, variable or whatever to our designs, but I’ve noticed even if I only check for the variables and styles created in the current file it will suggest variables that are not in the file form other libraries, anyone running into this issue?

It worked completely fine before last release. It’s disrupting my workflow tremendously. Is that expected? or is it a bug?

I can't edit my community file. I want to change the contact address, but as soon as I open the 'Manage resource' modal, I get an error that says 'Failed to validate fields' and clicking the ‘Retry’ button doesn’t seem to do anything. I can edit the contact address, but I can’t publish the change because of the error.  

In Figma Motion, even though ‘Select All’ and marquee-select highlight all motion layers, the selected layers do not behave as a single unit unless you shift-click each layer manually.If you select them using ‘Select All’ or marquee-select, clicking and dragging any layer breaks the selection and only moves that single layer.

Hello,My student verification has already been approved by SheerID, but Figma still shows "Verification Limit Exceeded" and my Education Plan has not been activated.Could you please confirm my verification status and let me know if anything else is required? I deleted a section on a Figma board and the version history isn’t working!!!

I don’t have the device icon next to the page (All my coworkers show an icon to the right of /signup) It is on the far right for me and it wont let me change any settings.  I tried reinstalling, removing all plugins, updating to newest version, reseting figma

This features used to exist. The support and help database says it exists… but it does not. The instructions are out of date...OR…..the functionality or feature has been removed.Not happy.

The ‘Go to main component’ link is missing when I right click on components instances in the lefthand menu.I’m getting a smaller list of options, see attached image.I’ve restarted my machine twice, and I’m an Enterprise admin so I have access to the design system file.Can someone help with a fix, please?  

Hi all,We use Dust (dust.tt) as our AI platform at our company and we'd like to connect it to Figma's remote MCP server. We've gone through the registration process several times and emailed mcpserver@figma.com, but haven't heard back yet.Two questions:1. Does anyone have info on the status of Dust's registration as an MCP client?2. More broadly, are there plans to open up the remote MCP server to any client in the future, rather than an approved list?This is currently blocking some internal projects, so any insight would be appreciated. How is this still happening? Does not matter what I do if I take a screenshot, copying from photoshop, exporting jpg and drop it into Figma Slides it desaturates everything.Please don’t come with some basic FAQ: “Did you match colour profiles and stuff.Why is it like this? This is a HUGE issue. There’s a lot of creatives who use these tools and the right colours are super important..

Having spent 4 weeks developing a website. I asked Figma to improve SEO etc. The coding Figma wrote was incorrect and disrupted the whole website. I was asked to restore an earlier version, which I did from just before the SEO coding, and this deleted the whole conversation and the file. I have raised a ticket and granted Figma access but I am still awaiting a response. I am hoping that Figma has retained a copy of the file somewhere. In the meantime all Figma wants me to do is start again. I’ve used around 15000 - 20000 credits to get this far and it is all gone!

I am having difficulty using Figma due to a few usability issues.First, hiding the layer panel should only hide the layers themselves, not the entire left navigation bar. That way, I can still access features like variables and agents without expanding the layers panel. The 'Minimize UI' button could also be placed on the left navigation bar. Alternatively, the navigation bar buttons could act as toggles to show or hide their respective panels—for example, clicking the 'Files' button would show or hide the layers panel. This feels much more intuitive. Additionally, switching from a fixed component view to a floating component view feels quite jarring.Second, when the layers panel is minimized, zooming in on a selected object doesn't bring its full dimensions into view because parts of it get obscured by the properties panel. I'm not sure if this is a bug, a limitation of 13-inch displays, or just standard behavior, but it's an unexpected and incredibly frustrating experience that I'm s

Reproduction: Created a dropdown component defined slot areas for dropdown menu ‘the rows’ created a seperate singular component and named it ‘_row’ (so it wouldn’t get published) defined ‘_row’ as the preferred value forr the slot area but when dropdown component published, and pulled into another figma file ‘_row’ doesn’t show up as it’s not a published component. Opinion, if a unpublished component have been defined as a preferred value, it should be available to be picked. I basically do not want to expose a building block to the other designers because it’s never going to be used anywhere else apart from the dropdown window.  How it looks when called from another file.How it looks inside the library file.  

I have been experiencing unusual behavior in Figma for several days. When I use Spacebar + mouse to pan, the canvas moves unpredictably in different directions while the spacebar is pressed. Refreshing Figma temporarily resolves the issue, but the glitch reoccurs frequently. I am using Figma Web.

One member of my team created and shared a skill, which is listed when I enter “Manage skills/Your team”. However, to use that skill, I currently need to export it and then add it locally by selecting the downloaded .MD file. This is not an ideal workflow, as future skill changes would need to be manually updated.Is this a known issue and are there any actions that I could take to make team skills available to all team files from a single source?

Issue 1:Sometimes, when you try to resize objects inside grid auto layout by dragging one side, the opposite side moves instead. It’s extremely confusing. I can see how this makes sense in regular auto layout, but not in grid auto layout, especially when there aren’t any other objects on the grid. It seems to happen consistently with rotated or flipped objects, but I just experienced it with an object whose rotation was set to 0°. In the attached video, you can also see a strange jump while resizing.Issue 2:In grid auto layout, if you drag one side of an object but don’t align it exactly with a grid line, the resize handle on the opposite side disappears until you snap it back to the grid.It’s also strange that I can’t option click to resize an object from its center point like you can outside of auto layout.Please see the attached videos.

I have a slot property called “vertical items” that is used in one variant in a component set and has autolayout applied to it. However there’s a couple problems:When the component set is selected, the right sidebar shows that the “vertical items” slot is not used within the component (despite the fact that it is) Within that slot’s settings, I cannot check the box to fill items by default. Both my teammate and I have edit access to our design system Figma file. I was able to publish some components but suddenly wasn’t able to—when I hit ‘publish’ it’s like it never registered (no toast at the bottom of the screen with the loading status, component publish status is still unpublished). It’s very intermittent—occasionally I’ll be able to publish again but will lose the ability right after.I know it’s not a case of two people trying to publish at the same time, it’s not a connection issue (experienced this in different locations), and we are on the enterprise plan and no permissions have changed on that front. My teammate can publish components now but he couldn’t before and even got this modal. Is this a known bug?

Hi Figma Support Team, I’m experiencing an issue with publishing my plugin, Inspo. I submitted Inspo for review over a week ago, but it remained stuck in the publishing/review process with no updates. I even deleted that version completely and submitted it again from scratch, but the exact same issue happened again. Could you please look into this issue? I’d really appreciate your help in resolving it, as I’m currently unable to publish Inspo. Thank you in advance!

Hello figma team I am unable to log in to my Figma account associated with [email redacted by forum moderator to remove PII]. Whenever I try to log in, I am redirected to a 404 page showing figma.com/blocked.html.I would like to know whether this issue is related to a payment or subscription problem, or if there is another reason why my account has been blocked from accessing Figma.I urgently need access to this account because there are important files in my Figma account that I need to access and back up.Could you please help me identify the cause of this issue and restore access to my account?
