I can’t resize objects without it getting in the way every timeI can’t close the prompt modal- it sits over my designs and I can’t even move it out of the way.

I’ve been unable to publish an update to my Figma plugin because I keep seeing this message: “We have detected a change in your account details. Please contact support@figma.com to proceed.”I emailed support@figma.com as instructed, but haven’t received any reply—not even a confirmation that my message was received. I have no idea what triggered the restriction, whether anyone is looking into it, or when I’ll be able to publish again.Is anyone else experiencing this? Could someone from Figma please look into it and help unblock publishing?

I have this prototype issue that I’m facing when I interact with an interactive Button component I’ve created and placed inside another component that uses Figma Slot.To provide some context, I’ve used slots in the component when the Accordion component is in its expanded state to provide flexibility when designing its contents.In a design that I’ve made, I’ve placed an interactive Button component inside the Accordion component’s slot. When I place this accordion component in a new component (I call it a design template), the Button’s states (Hovered, Pressed state) breaks, resetting it to the default state when hovering or pressing it in Prototype view.If I place just the Accordion component somewhere else outside the design template component, the Button’s states interaction works just fine in the Prototype view.I’ve attached a video of the issue that im facing.

IssueSmart Animate has suddenly started producing a dark/gray visual artifact behind layers that use semi-transparent gradient fills during the transition.I have been working on the same Figma file and the same component for the past four days. The prototype animation was working correctly until a few hours ago. I did not make any changes to the component structure or animation setup that would explain this behavior. The issue occurs both in the Figma Desktop app and in the browser. What happensThe component uses Smart Animate with a Custom Bezier easing. During the Smart Animate transition, layers containing gradient fills with reduced opacity appear to reveal a dark/gray background or compositing layer behind them. It looks as if a dark surface is temporarily being rendered behind the semi-transparent fill during the animation.The darkening does not appear as an overlay on top of the entire component. It specifically appears behind the transparent/semi-transparent areas of the gradie

I used to have an option whenever I selected multiple frames and layers to group them into a section, in the right hand sinde panel. It’s gone now since the latest update. Why??? Also, now for some reason, when I tried to get around this limitation and try to do it manually, sometimes when I ⌘+G them and go to the dropdown to select the group type, I have Section grayed out (not always, but in certain circumstances). Why???

I’m trying to upgrade an older Figma Make file to the new Make file foundation by following Figma’s official guide: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/43572389630103-Upgrade-your-Figma-Make-files In my case, the upgrade does not complete successfully. It takes around one minute before showing the message “We couldn’t update your file.” I have tried multiple times, but the same error keeps occurring.My current environment is Windows 11 with the latest version of Figma. I also tried upgrading the file on another device running macOS, using a different network, but the upgrade still failed.For additional context, this Figma Make file was created in December 2025. I have another Figma Make file that was created around the same time, and it is experiencing the same upgrade issue.In this situation, is there any way to force the file upgrade or resolve the issue? I also understand that these files may no longer be eligible for upgrade after October if they are not upgraded beforehand.I

When creating a presentation landing page with GIF files, the GIF animation in the prototype presentation mode starts to lag. The more GIF files in the frame, the more lag the animation experiences. It lags in all browsers (Opera, Chrome, Edge, Yandex Browser on Windows OS). On MacOS, it lags on some devices, but not on others.It started yesterday. This problem wasn't present before; GIF animation worked fine regardless of the number of GIF files in a single frame.

I am in a subscription on Figma make. I notice I can no longer see the save button on the left side  by the AI chat window which also showed the files you amended. It usually list the amended files and an undo button to cancel all the changes in that file. Also in the top menu its greyed out. What’s going on? Screenshot attached

I have been experiencing unusual behavior in Figma for several days. When I use Spacebar + mouse to pan, the canvas moves unpredictably in different directions while the spacebar is pressed. Refreshing Figma temporarily resolves the issue, but the glitch reoccurs frequently. I am using Figma Web.

Hi everyone,Has anyone else experienced this?When I apply an Inside stroke to an Auto Layout frame that contains content (for example, a text layer), the frame size increases by the stroke width.For example:36 × 36 → 38 × 38 with a 1px Inside stroke 36 × 36 → 40 × 40 with a 2px Inside strokeI expected the frame dimensions to stay the same because the stroke is set to Inside.I'm using Figma Desktop on macOS.Is this a bug, a recent change in Figma's behavior, or is there a setting I'm missing?Thanks!

The ability to use your cursor to scrub/drag through percentage values (next to hex code input) on colour opacities has been removed, or is now broken.  This was a really useful feature, please can we have it back?

Issue with raster images. All Jpgs, PNGs and one .mp4 file appear correctly within the editor and internal preview but when viewing “Share” prototype link, the preview link loads with blanks — for any of those files. Vector assets appear fine. What is the issue? I have tried all of the following with clearing cache multiple times: copying / re-pasting the images re-uploading each image asset duplicating the file to try a new prototype link Clearing cache restarting testing in incognito and on mobile / different devices (same blanks appear)Seems to be an issue with the link itself / Figma server?Please advise.

I encountered an issue where, immediately after deleting a Team, two important files that were in Drafts became inaccessible. There may be other affected files, but these are the two I noticed missing.I need to regain access to these files as quickly as possible. They are very important files containing ongoing work that took me a significant amount of time to create, and I urgently need them back.Please help me resolve this issue.

Hi,My daughter is 17 and just started a Communication and Multimedia Design program at a Dutch university of applied sciences. When she signs up for the Figma Education plan (higher education) with her school email, she gets a screen saying she must be 18.Figma's help center only says applicants must be old enough to consent themselves, and the Terms of Service mention 18+ only for Figma AI. Has anyone found an exception or workaround for under-18 higher education students, for example via the institution?Thanks!

We’re seeing a difference between extending a published variable collection through the Plugin API and through Figma’s UI.Our test library contains one number variable with a value of 8. In a second file:Using Extend collection manually works: the inherited variable appears and is included in the mode’s JSON export.Using await figma.variables.extendLibraryCollectionByKeyAsync(collectionKey, name) creates the extension, but it shows “No variables in this collection.” Its JSON export contains only parent/mode metadata—no token.Interestingly, the Plugin API reports the inherited variable and correctly resolves its value to 8. We also successfully wrote an explicit override of 8 to the extension’s mode, but the collection still appeared empty.We reproduced this with a minimal plugin, without logging, storage, or post-creation reads. Reopening the file and recreating the extension didn’t help.Is there an additional initialization step required, or is this a bug in how API-created extensions

I’m locked out of my Figma account because my university deactivated the student email address associated with it after I left school. I’m completely logged out of Figma, so I can no longer authenticate through Google or access the email address connected to the account.The account contains important design files that I urgently need access to. I have already submitted two Figma Support tickets, but I haven’t received a response yet. When I try to access the tickets, I’m unable to open/view them.I still know which student email address the account was registered under and can provide the full email address and any other information needed privately to Figma Support to verify ownership.Could a Figma Community team member please help escalate this to Support so that I can verify ownership and have the email address on my existing Figma account changed to my personal email? Thank you!

I don't use this account; I didn't have an active subscription, yet I was charged anyway. I only opened it once that month to transfer a file. Your system really shouldn't work this way. I request a full refund. I certainly didn't switch to the Professional plan—I don't need it.
