Stop Figma Automatically adding Apples UI Kit

john-mainboard

Figma is automatically adding in the Apple UI Kit, even though this library is NOT attached to the original file I’m making a copy of.

ORIGINAL FILE DOESN’T HAVE THE LIBRARY

COPY HAS THE LIBRARY ADDED

It even adds it automatically to NEW files too? How can you stop this madness? There isn’t an option under the UI Kits to add/remove or stop this?

Hi. If you don’t need iOS kits in any of your files, you can turn them off in the team settings.

Team → View settings → View team’s libraries → UI kits

This UI isn’t even generally available. We don’t have a team setup and I’m a lone designer here. So it just says “Libraries” with a weird link. Unless you click that weird link, there’s not UI for it. WOW! Why isn’t there a general ASSETS/LIBRARIES section in Figma which you can setup stuff like this. This seems uncessarily hidden, especially considering I NEVER TURNED IT ON in the first place! Figma did that automatically without letting me know.

No surprise here. Figma is pivoting hard towards enterprise.
