Hi all, I created some designs that I exported as PDF. I have two problems with the result: The text is not selectable (I tried Mac’s Preview and Safari). The files are rather large (1MB for an A4 size design, no images or vectors, just a few text bozes. Any ideas how to overcome this? (I would try to avoid bringing it back my design to Sketch.

I’ve just started to use Figma Slides, I want to be able to change the colour of the pasteboard surrounding the slide but unlike in Figma Design, I can’t see an option to do this. Is it not available in Slides? 

When I am double tapping on the canvas for the right click menu- it is not working. It only works if you click on track pad. The double tap works on layers but not on canvas.

We are successful in accessing the figma remote MCP exposed at "https://mcp.figma.com/mcp" via OAuth based access via browser SSO login. We are exploring ways to automate figma MCP access in a headless mode so would like to understand passing PAT token for remote MCP authentication. We tried passing PAT in Auth headers and X-Figma-Token header but get unauthorized for remote MCP at this endpoint "https://mcp.figma.com/mcp". Wrestling with yet another gap in basic Figma functionality.I’ve inherited a design file w/ an extensive set of variables -- lots of tokens, primitives, etc. I just want a single, top-down view of how the variables were organized and their values. Basically what you can see (but can’t print or export) from the current variables table view. Can’t do it, even with plug-ins -- I get variable NAMES but not values if the values are other referenced variables. AND THAT’S WHAT I NEED TO REVIEW!This should be a basic management feature. Figma is deferring too much basic stuff to plug in developers which puts the onus on users to 1) do additional research into plug-ins and 2) learn the ins/outs of plug-ins of varying quality. If someone has a solution I haven’t found yet, LMK. I’ve made a web-app with figma make, and was happy to see that Push to Github was an option, but I’m having issues with this feature. Whenever I made a change to code, either by ai or manual, I saw that Github didn’t recieve the updated code. I investigated som more and found out that Figma don’t understand how files from the project were being pushed.I have a root directory in github, with one folder (/src). Here, all my files from figma make lies (Public etc) What I noticed is that Figma creates two index.html files, two package.json, two vite.config.ts  on push.The original files from Make is in /scr. and another basic version gets put on the Github root.I’ve tried to figure out how to fix or work around this, but I cannot figure it out. I’ve tried moving the correct versions to Github root, but to no help. And to make it worse, they get overwritten with every push. Must be some more files not being pushed to the right location.

Hi everyone,I have colors defined as variables in my project. Is there a way to edit the assigned token in the variables directly from fill?I can't find such an option. So now, to edit them, I have to go to variables and find the token in the collection. In my opinion, it's a workaround.

Hey Figma Community!!!My company is switching our design system to use Untitled UI Figma Library (Variable version). I’ve managed to apply our colors using the variable panel but now I’m tackling the font and how boy I’m struggling… If you’re familiar with Untitled UI, they’re using Inter as their body typeface. Inter has all the font weight you can imagine, including Semi-bold. In their component lib, they are using the Semi-bold font-weight A LOT. My company font only has Regular, Medium and Bold (no italic) and it’s been perfectly fine. My issue is as follow: I was able to replace the tape face in the variables by just renaming the Value for font-family. BUT since Untitled UI used Inter and specifically Inter Semi-bold in a lot of places in their components these instance now have an interrogation point when it calls to semi bold… Is there a way, in the Variable panel or the Styles to tell the document that every text layer currently usin

Hi fellow Figma users, I have registered and am a student of an ongoing bootcamp. While every one of the students has full access to the bootcamp Figma files, my access keeps getting changed into view only. The admin of the bootcamp has been in touch with Figma multiple times and they approved my account, but I still get the same problem, and the issue has not been resolved. We are half through the bootcamp, and I only had full editing access for the first week. This is very frustrating, and I cannot participate in any of the group activities. I also have no way of contacting Figma directly to solve the issue with their assistance. has anyone experienced similar issues? @dvaliao @Celine_Figma

What does the figma dev package offer, the one for $15, does it give 3000 AI credits and how do I track my AI credits to know my usage and know how to use the credits wisely. 

Context: I’m creating a prototype in Make and want to rebuild using Claude Code.  Currently I download the Make file code and put in the project file and have Claude review it there.  Or I copy the design for a specific screen and paste into a Figma design file and have Clause review via MCP.  I’ve tried using MCP to connect directly to Make file but that isn’t currently supported (from what I can tell) Question: Is there a better way to do this?

Hi guys, would love to get your help.I am trying to create a component (demonstration below) of a square in figma that when you hover your mouse on it it shows a picture in the square, and then i entered it into a a different component that repeats itself in a frame (like a square grid).I want that when you tap on that component, it changes the variant state of the Squarescreen which is a differnt component. Saw a youtube tutorial and the problem it created was that when i tapped on it it only made the hover state of the component freeze so it looks like it just made the picture stay there but i want it to change the state of the variant in the squarescreen. any help please?  

I’m building a portfolio/website using Figma Sites. On my homepage, I have different containers for each project, and my goal is that when I click on a project, instead of opening a new page, it triggers an overlay on top of the homepage showing that project’s text and images.I created an interactive banner using code so I could reuse the same template for every project. Now that I’m starting to replace the content, I’ve realized I need a better way to update the images for each project.Right now, the only method I’ve found is to manually drop the images into the Figma file, convert each one into code, and then copy that code as an import into the original banner so the component knows where the image is coming from.I’m wondering if there’s an easier way to manage this—ideally a place where I can store all my images and update them whenever needed. Everything else on the site can be changed with simple copy/paste, so I’m hoping images can work the same way.
