Hi everyone,Is there a way for a Figma make published app to retrieve the identity of the currently signed-in user through SSO?Our organisation already uses SSO for authentication, so we’re wondering whether the app can leverage the existing authenticated session to identify the user, for example their name, email address, or another unique user identifier, rather than requiring the user to authenticate again within the app.Thanks!

I’ve got four variable collections from unsubscribed, deprecated libraries that remain offerable in a file's variable MODE picker, with zero remaining consumers. They do not appear in the fill or colour picker. There is no UI affordance or plugin API to purge them.A designer can still apply a mode from a deprecated library, silently reintroducing a dependency on a dead token system. Nothing currently consumes these, so the file will not regress on its own.Claude says, “Needs a Figma-side fix.” Any suggestions?

We created an important 5 year vision presentation via Figma Slides about 1 year ago and it worked beautifully. Now it’s not. There are embedded Figma prototypes on each slide that have videos within them that are now all playing at once. If you go to the original embedded link outside of slides the prototype works fine. What the heck changed?!  Please HELP this was a ton of important work!!

I may be going crazy…I have made a very simple button component with two variants Default and Pressed, these are connected by a “While Pressed” noodle with a change to  “Pressed” interaction. When I use an instance of this button in a prototype it behaves as expected pressing the button changes its state to “pressed”, releasing the button changes its state back to “default”. Great! however when I add an interaction to the button in the prototype (on click set variable etc.)  when the button is clicked the variable is set but the button does not return to the default state - remaining in the pressed state.Adding the Interaction to the button instanceI am sure this was working before, hence doubting my sanity… What am I missing, is there an easy workaround/fix? Thank you in advance!

I’m trying to connect a custom MCP client directly to the Figma Remote MCP Server:https://mcp.figma.com/mcpI understand that Figma’s documentation currently says only clients listed in the MCP Catalog can connect.Could someone from Figma confirm:Is there currently a supported process for a custom MCP client to connect to the Remote MCP Server? If so, is any registration, approval, or specific Figma plan required? For a custom client requiring OAuth, should a Figma OAuth App Client ID/Client Secret be used, or does the Remote MCP Server use a different OAuth flow?I’m specifically asking about a custom MCP client connecting to Figma's Remote MCP Server, not creating a custom MCP connector inside Figma Make or Figma Agent.Thanks!

INSANE usage of credits for incredibly simple tasks. This is a new issue I have had. Scenario:I have a website builder that exports html files. The app now supports multiple page sites. I asked the agent to link the logo in the navigation to the .index when the site has multiple pages. A simple link. This took 1690 credits for what I thought would be an elementary edit.There seems to be zero rationale to the credit usage and it's frankly unacceptable. (From a company who doesn't let your credits roll over. Put your users first, not your shareholders. Hi i need some help, i am trying out Figma and I’ve developed a website design in maker that my client is super happy with and now need to move it to a development site for customisation - images, copy links etc.how do i take the make design to an editable website wireframe/design that i can customise then migrate the site to my development server - so it can eventually be deployed on the clients website If i wanted to take the design and build in elementor pro is that possible? I normaly build in elementor.any help/direction wold be appreciated.thanks 

I tried to submit two plugins to Figma.One of them was already accepted, which is very good news,but the second one was rejected. I checked my codebase, and it was actually one bug, which I have fixed,so I resubmitted that plugin.Now Does that mean I have to wait another 2 weeks just for this to get reviewed, or how is the review process?

I have created a couple of shaders and they have been in review for 2-3 weeks now, plugins get approval a lot faster, whats and estimated time until review is over?

Bonjour ! Je suis webdesigner, et j’ai pour habitude de partager le prototype de mes maquettes graphiques à mes clients. Avant, je pouvais leur partager facilement un lien, ils pouvaient commenter, sans avoir accès au fichier design (car il faut se connecter pour déposer des commentaires). Mais depuis quelques temps, suite peut-être à une mise à jour Figma, quand je partage le lien et s’ils se connectent à leur compte gratuit pour déposer des commentaires sur la maquette, une petite icône s’affiche et leur parmet d’accéder (en vue uniquement) à la partie design du fichier. Est-ce possible d’éviter cela ? Avez-vous un cas similaire ? La seule solution que j’ai trouvé pour le moment est d’inviter par mail les personnes autorisées directement sur le prototype (mais très peu pratique). For people who work on the dark mode, and at night, ability to have a default canvas color reactive to the system theme change plus ability to use variables for that.Just two colors inputs: default for light and default for dark is already a huge win.Global setting for Figma canvas could also help when working on the dark mode components. The only caveat could be publishing library with light/dark theme override but I think for the page it should be omitted.

Maybe a stupid question but I thought I’d ask anyway. My mac doesn’t update past OS Monterey 12.7.6 and when I opened Figma today, I stupidly pressed the bright blue ‘update’ button, because of course I did. Now I can’t open Figma as it says it requires version 13.0 or later. Is there a way I can reverse the update, or am I doomed to using the web version until I get a new laptop? Any help is appreciated!

Hi everyone, I am working on a simple card grid for a dashboard and I am stuck on how auto layout handles wrapping rows. I have a horizontal auto layout frame set to wrap, with several card components inside it. Each card has a title and a short description, but the descriptions are different lengths. When the cards wrap onto a new row, some cards stretch taller or wider than the others in the same row, so the grid looks uneven. What I have tried so far: setting the cards to a fixed width and fixed height, which keeps them even but cuts off longer text; setting the cards to hug contents, which fits the text but makes every card a different size; and changing the alignment and spacing on the parent frame, which did not stop the uneven stretching. Is there a recommended way to keep cards in a wrapping auto layout row the same size, while still letting the text wrap inside them? Or is this a case where I should use a different layout approach for the grid? Thanks in advance for any tips.

I'm unable to publish an update to my Figma plugin because I keep receiving the following message:"We have detected a change in your account details. Please contact support@figma.com to proceed."I've already contacted Figma Support via email but haven't received a response or confirmation.Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to resolve it? I'd appreciate any advice on how to remove this restriction and resume publishing plugin updates.

I submitted my plugin for review almost 11 days ago now , and as of today (NOV 2nd) I still haven't received any feedback from the Figma team. No emails , no approvals its like am completely in the dark.That's over 11 days of waiting, while the submission form indicated a turnaround of 5-10 business days.i dont think it is but , can any one share if this wait time is normal right now, or should I follow up somewhere specific?

With a nice collection of CMS articles in Figma I could not figure out how to cross-link them. I was about to add a link to the content in rich text editor, but pages for CMS are not listed there. I would expect it to be work the same way as links work in ‘interaction’ mode: selecting the CMS page than the slug. Is there any (other) way to achieve this? Is there a plan to add/fix this?
