Hello, I have recently purchased a Full seat which includes Dev Mode access (screenshot attached). I’m using the Figma Desktop App, but I don’t see any option to enable Dev Mode under Preferences. Here’s what I’ve already tried: Confirmed I’m on a Full seat with Dev Mode included. Using the latest Figma Desktop version. Restarted the app and checked for updates. Cleared cache and logged back in. Could you please help me enable Dev Mode or check if there’s any issue with my account or rollout?
Every time i [zoom in], the blue select rectangle appears, and when i try to zoom inside of a frame it shifts the items out of the frame. So to put it simply; it detaches elements in frames, and groups elements that are not in frames.
Hello, we have a huge issue with slots in our design system. From one day to the other, without any reason our slots in components are treated like they have been overridden (e.g. border color, bg color, ...). Those styles are then inherited to swapped components. You can be 100% sure that we didn’t customise the slots and all components have been tested extensively before, so why do they now have overrides? Where do the come from? What has changed in Figma? The only solution is to go through all components in the system and reset the slots. Honestly Figma should save time not add additional work on our shoulders … Hope you can help us to find out what is causing this issue in Figma and how we can prevent such things in the future. Attached you find a file showing the problem. ThxHarald
So I am trying to make a “like system”. When going between these two frames the state of the liked “Food” box should remain. I have both visibility and the status of the heart set up as variables. It does remember the state when moving from the first frame into the second, but not the second into the first. Meaning if I change the state in the second one it does not transfer back to the first, the first will stay how it was. The food category is there on the second frame it is just not visible due to being tied to opacity. When you click it on the second frame it disappears, how I want it. I can send more images or try to explain better as well what I am trying to do.
So I have this simple Avatar with text (using auto layout and working correctly You’ll notice that I’ve stacked two instances on top of each other using auto layout. However, when you look at the FLOW in the right-hand menu, you’ll see that it’s set to HORIZONTAL. … I want it to be VERTICAL (as shown) , but when I choose VERTICAL (see below) it goes to a ‘backwards’ HORIZONTAL layout I’ve changes the canvas stacking, restarted Figma, restarted my Mac without luck. The only thing I’ve been able to do is rebuild it, but after a few minutes it starts happening again. Any help appreciated
Figma application memory continues to increase, when screen sharing on Google Meets. Causing Chrome and Figma to freeze/crash.
I’m experiencing an issue with an instance swap property in Figma. I have a Card component with Auto-layout (width: fixed, and height: hug). It wraps an instance of a component associated with an instance swap property (width: fill and height: hug). When I create an instance of Card and change the inner instance through the instance property it works fine the first time. From there, if I change it again, Figma sets the height of the inner instance to fixed. This crops the content. Does anyone knows why this happens and how to fix it? Is it a bug in Figma? I’m currently working on a dashboard using the new grid system of AutoLayout but I can’t find a way to add new rows to a frame without distorting the elements I’ve already placed on the grid. I started with a 10x8 square grid an then decided to add more rows to fit other components; if I add them from the grid options it will keep the frame size and fit the new rows within the height it has, changing the row height. From there I’d have to adjust the height of the frame manually so I could keep the same row height I had before. Is there a way to define the width and height of the columns and rows? wouldn’t it be easier if I could add rows with the same row-height that would adjust automatically the height of the frame if there’s enough space on the parent frame? Example before adding the rows After What I wanted (adjusted manually (not sure if I kept the same row height without a calculator)) How I think it could work: Ex: Add a new row in a Word table (similar to Google sheets)
For a long time, the figma pen has been lagging, but that’s fine because we’ve been patiently waiting for them to fix it and could still make do. But recently, I don’t know if it’s because of the updates, but the pen function has been horrible when I use my graphics tablet. Not only does it lag (as it has always done), but it is faint and you have to press down real hard for it to work. I can’t write using my laptop touch pad but it works better with the touch pad. Please Figma team, help me out because using Figma is now becoming next to impossible for a classroom setting.
This auto-layout frame is a child/inside a basic frame that I should be able to move things around in. How the heck do I turn this off when I hover over to click and drag. all I want to do is drag the group/autolayout over a bit manually and arrows in this small space are producing too large of a move. this comes up for me a ton and it’s insanely annoying. I can’t click and drag without it also changing the auto layout spacing. if I want to change that I will go to the tool sidebar and do it myself. I don’t need this pink stuff trying to do it for me just because i’ve hovered over it. Also, FYI - I couldn’t even screengrab it through the OS, because this literally happens on hover, so I snapped it with my phone - hence the bad photo, apologies.
Hi, new to Figma here. I’m in a UI/UX course and we’re tasked with creating a site for a movie. We picked Toy Story, and I’m trying to create a frame with Hamm in which you click him, and a gold coin pops up with a review on the movie. If you click him again, the coin goes back in. Another click, and a coin pops up again, but with a different review. How do I make that happen? I have Hamm on the frame and I have a gold coin component with different variants created. In the first frame, Hamm has a small coin hidden behind him. On first click, I used smart animate to switch to the next frame, where the coin enlarges and comes up. On the second click on Hamm, I want the coin to return back to behind Hamm, and also switch to the next variant of the coin. So that on the third click on Hamm, another coin will pop up, but with a different text. Do I have to create a frame for each variant, or is there another way to make that happen?
