Hi everyone,I'm facing an issue in the Figma desktop app where the fill color is not applying to shapes when they are placed inside a frame. I’ve tried selecting multiple colors and different shapes, but the fill just doesn’t show up within the frame. When I draw the same shape outside the frame, the color applies correctly. But as soon as I move it inside a frame, the color disappears or won’t apply at all. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting I might be missing in the frame or something else that could be causing this? Appreciate any help—thanks in advance!
I was very excited to hear that grids were coming to Figma. CSS Grid was introduced years ago and brought with it many things that flexbox was incapable of doing, so I was hoping for a similar level of new capabilities here, and I genuinely cannot believe that this feature is being shipped in its current state (even as a ‘beta’). This is a very long post, but I feel like this feature has been implemented so poorly that it legitimately sows doubt in Figma’s capabilities to deliver features in the future. Inability to ‘hug’ contents Both rows and grids themselves are unable to resize themselves to match their contents (‘Hug”). Row heights must be either “Auto” (1fr) or a fixed height, meaning that if you want your rows to be sized per their elements, you’ve now manually defined each row height in px (not even a variable value), and instead of getting a clean CSS output, now you have however many rows defined in exact values, destroying any chance of scalability. Just set up my first Figma site and am really impressed how easy it was. However, I want to be able to add some custom code and host on my personal site. I tried copying over the code, but the folder structure of files is crazy. Is there any way to do this?
I tried Figma MCP when it was presented - and everything worked perfectly, but previous week it stopped responding for most of my models, but for some it randomly gives something. Actually it doesn’t work for me as it worked previously. Does anyone knows what’s the issue and how to resolve?

Right now it seems like the ‘default’ variant is set based on which variant is ‘upper leftmost’ in the variant container frame. Instead, I suggest decoupling arrangement from precedence, and using the property ordering functionality to determine the default variant. The default variant should simply be the one with the first value for each property, regardless of where it’s placed in the variant frame. This would allow teams to set defaults directly from the properties panel, without having to move components around. We built our icon system using 2 sets of component groups. One group that we use for the source artwork, which includes 2 sizes and filled/unfilled variants. The second group is used to resize the icon. The source icons have their color set to our default color style for icons which is called ‘icon-primary.’ Most of the icons can have their color overridden by designers (often to icon-secondary) but recently, some of the icons just can’t have their color changed. It seems totally random. Most are fine. We’ve dug into this and there is no difference between layer naming, flattening, constraints, autolayout, etc. between icons that work and icons that don’t. When an icon is detached, it can be recolored. Help!

I’m logging with same e-mail address. I have different pp on https://help.figma.com/ and have different one on https://forum.figma.com/ . When I try to change on help.figma.com it says “The name, profile photo, phone, and email are set automatically. You can't change them here.” I’m not logging with google etc
Main page ➔ Drafts section ➔ Figma Make project in the project list. Question: how do I put a thumbnail for a Figma Make project, as for Figma Design projects?
I do not know how, but in Figma, I got this point using which I was able to set the center of rotation. Last time, I saw this in Sketch, but this popped up today. I was surprised. But then, the moment I duplicated the ear vector, this was gone. I do not know how I triggered it. Tried lots of things and searched all around. Couldn’t find a shortcut or a trigger using which I could enable this.
This might be a unique problem but worth the shot: Context: We use figma to create in-product marketing materials. We’ve set up templates to create full sets of materials with the same creative. It doesn’t really make sense to make a library, so we have a Template file with a full set of assets, and components we can easily update. The team then just copies the whole template set (master components and everything) and pastes it in the file they’re working on. As a side note: Yes, we’re exploring moving this process to Buzz but so far we find the features too limited (it’s not really component friendly for example, you have to update instances manually instead of allowing it to happen on the panel where you update everything else). Problem: Sometimes we have to paste the component multiple times in the same file (in new pages for a new promotion for example).
