Shape Color Not Applying Within Frame in Figma Desktop App

Hi everyone,
I'm facing an issue in the Figma desktop app where the fill color is not applying to shapes when they are placed inside a frame. I’ve tried selecting multiple colors and different shapes, but the fill just doesn’t show up within the frame.

When I draw the same shape outside the frame, the color applies correctly. But as soon as I move it inside a frame, the color disappears or won’t apply at all.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting I might be missing in the frame or something else that could be causing this?

Hey ​@Jawad Waqas, this is an interesting issue 👀 Can I get a little bit more info?

  • Is this happening on all files you work on, or just one specific one?
  • Also just to make sure: only happening on the desktop app, correct?
  • Are you running any plugins or widgets?

I wasn’t able to replicate in both desktop app or Figma on the web, so I’m trying to brainstorm ideas on what’s happening separately for you.

If this is only happening on one specific file for you, can you try duplicating it, and then seeing if the issues travels to the copy?

Also - if you can, could you grab a screen recording that includes the entire Figma desktop window (so I can see your layers) and show the steps you’re taking that lead to the fill not working?
