Firstly great job Figma Font variables are here!!! Figma tutorial: Variables for typography The only thing missing is the use of percentages in the line-height property. You can not use a percentage in the line-height as it only accepts variables that are a number type. Although the variables for line-height caters for pixel (absolute) line-heights (10,12,14)- it does not accommodate relative line heights. In other words you can’t use percentage variables for line heights that are a percentage of the font size (100%, 120%,150%). Interestingly …You can use a variable for letter-spacing ( which accepts a number variable - but reads it as a percentage) - the challenge remains that line heights by default are absolute not percentages - even though you can input a percentage. Percentages allow greater flexibility and less calculations Word around would be to allow formula in a variable e.g. =[variable] * 1.5 Or figuring out a way for the line height to be toggle between absolute or relative
i don't know what did i moved but know my layers and some settings appears different than how they were before by default.
Hi Figma team, I’m working with a central design system library that uses variables for colors, typography, spacing, etc. The challenge I’m running into is how to customize those variables per project/client without editing the library file. Here’s the workflow I’d love to have: In the library file, components are built using semantic variables (e.g., Brand / Primary, Text / Default). In a project file, I create local variables with the same semantic structure but mapped to project-specific brand values. I want to be able to relink or remap library variables to my local variables, so that when I update the local variable values, all linked components automatically update. Right now, even if I duplicate the variable structure locally, components still reference the library’s variable IDs, and there’s no way to swap or remap them to my local set. The only options are: Manually rebind variables one by one (tedious), or Carry all brands inside the library as modes (not scalable when workin
Please searDue to my mistake, I increased the number of seats in Figma, I want to reduce it, I only need 10 seats, now it has increased to 17 seats, my annual fee will be updated tomorrow, can anyone tell me How to deal withch for existing topics before posting! Press 🔍 at the upper right to search.🥺🥺🥺
When sharing my figma slide screen on zoom, 2 cursors show up.
Hello, I have noticed:when switching component variants inside grid cell - something begin to break inside properties panel (there were cleaned properties before for sure I cleaned them perfectly! - and some Property5 & 6 appeared after dragging cell variants). I think this is a bug. PS I can’t upload bug video here to show you (I don’t have google drive / loom / dropbox - btw why so uncomfy to add a video?)
there's no network issue, memory usagebut i can’t save my change on figma!! what’s wrong!!! We paid for Hundreds of people figma full seat fee on our Product! This issue occurs frequently. Sometimes it resolves over time, butbut right now, it's been weird for hours.I'm afraid that if I turn off Figma, my Designs won't be saved
I am so incredibly frustrated. I have combed through every Figma forum, every youtube video. I cannot find the billing option. I simply need to access my receipts. I am very disappointed to see so many others dealing with the same issues. Here is a screenshot to help understand that I cannot find the Admin button, or the Billing button, let alone find receipts. I need this to be attended to absolutely urgently. Theres not even a live chat or phone option for me. Figma, what’s going on? I have attatched ss of the side bar and top bar. I don’t want to ss the whole screen for privacy reasons (another reason why I should be able to speak with an agent), but there are no other buttons or signifiers for Billing or Invoices anywhere on the page.
I’d like to be able to disable the split screen option so that dragging a tab doesn’t move things into split screen mode, just opens a new Figma window like it used to. Alternately, dragging the tab far enough away from the bar should imply a new window, while leaving plenty of space closer to the top available for split screen. It’s disorienting every time I think I’ve dragged it to a new window and the file still opens in split screen.
I am building multiple Figma Make components inside figma sites. The components height is set to hug, and in the preview or when the site is published it is behaving correctly, but inside figma the component height is acting very crazy, jumping from 1000 to 16,000 to 322,000 px height randomly although the original expected height should be around 500px. This problem makes the design inside Figma almost impossible as I can not see the next elements, they all jump out of frame. My workaround is setting the component height to fixed while designing and truning it to Hug only before publishing. Anyone facing a similar problem?
So I’ve built a site using variable sets as usual with intention to have both Light and Dark modes available only to find out there is no “Set variable mode” interaction in the menu for Figma Sites. Am I missing something? And if the feature is just gone, is there a workaround you can recommend to change the variable sets from the website UI?
I couldn’t find a bug report, so just in case I’m posting my own. If we create a component with ‘No’ / ‘Yes’ variants (which Figma transform automagically into boolean) and we bind variable to that it’s not working. Since it shows as a boolean we can only bind boolean variable, but when we do that the variable name is crossed out and it’s not working. I suspect it happens because Figma still treats that variant as a ‘string’. If I change variant names to something else (so it’s not transformed into boolean) and I use string variable it’s working just fine.
